Need feedback on my submitted trail makers

I’ve upgraded 3 of the 4 missing trail markers in my local park and so far they’ve all been marked illegible for some reason. Please tell me if I’m missing something here.

I should probably add that the first 2 didn’t have as much supporting info and were put into voting before I had a chance to provide more detail. But this one I made sure to include as much as I could about this trail and yet it’s still being turned down.

What can I do to improve this, as I’’ starting to feel as if I’m just wasting my time?

There is a name on the post, but I guess it’s possible that not everyone will take the time to zoom in to confirm a name like I do.

I’ll consider taking a closer photo when I next submit it, but I’ll wait for more feedback before I do so that I can increase my chances.

I was also outside in the sun so that wasn't helping! I thought I saw words on it but I wasn't positive what it said. But yeah, as a trail marker with a name on it, it should be eligible.

i agree it is the poor lighting that makes the trail name hard to read that is causing these to be rejected. but you could check to see if google maps has an incorrectly dropped photosphere showing something completely different here. also check to see if this appears to be on private property or farmland. you may have to address those.

you have so much in your supporting information that it may be scrolling past the limit and reviewers may not be seeing the entire thing. edit down anything you repeated from the description to be sure you don't run out of words, and make sure the link is near the beginning. these trail markers do meet criteria and should go through.

I agree that the name is difficult to read if one exists. I have another suggestion that takes time if you will do. I did not visit this area on Google Maps. If you add the Street View app to your phone and sign in with a gmail email, you can take 360º Street View pictures for the entire trail if you so desire. Unless you turn off the setting, upload using WiFi. Make sure to look up and down with your geotagged phone too.

From what I am gathering from everyone, the main problem is that the lighting is the issue.

This trail runs directly through the centre of the open space. Not near any buildings or private property. And the reason why I added so much info was because I thought the first 2 were declined because there wasn’t enough information supporting it.

Now it seems that it’s just not viable for a quick and easy review.

The photo spheres were added a few weeks after the nominations were sent. As I discovered while wayfaring that without photo spheres to prove these exists my chances won’t be good.

I’ll be sure to shorten the supporting information as best I can.
