Anybody know what the guidelines for "smart benches" are?

For those who haven't come across these, a 'smart bench' is a public bench that provides power sockets for phone charging, sometimes also free WiFi. Usually they are powered by alternative energy sources (wind, solar, bio etc.)
I know regular benches are not allowed and even most remembrance benches are a 1-star. Any idea how we should rate 'smart benches'?

I think that it was asked in an old AMA and the reply from Andrew was to reject them. I might be wrong though, but I don't think that Niantic has never stated those as valid PoI.

I think they would be handled much the same as electric car charging stations and bike share stations. While they are useful and promote some of the things that Niantic games are dedicated to, they are uninteresting and do not intrinsically meet any eligibility requirements. If they are artistically designed or have something else interesting about them, they could be acceptable.
To me, it depends on a few things. How many are in the area, if theres loads, then its mass produced. If its the only 1 in the area then thats a unique point of interest that will have people gathering at it and arguably yoj would show a friend out of town it, then I would accept it. If theres a couple, very sparce then I'd maybe argue for the first one being put in
