Could a riding school be eglible?
I don't think so but you can see it being a sport that's why i am not certain.
Also the one i have in my region is the biggest of the country and do events like jumpings they also give lessons ofcourse but also do walkings with the horses around in the forrest

Do you have more information on this type of location?
If it's specifically geared towards youth, such as a Boys & Girls Scouts organization, it could be ineligible for that reason. If it's a simple business, it could be excluded for that.
If it's an adventurous, off the roads & tourist location, or the kind of place you would being friends/visitors, or a place to congregate and encourages outdoors activities, it could be eligible.
I've personally accepted many equestrian centers and fairgrounds locations. I've hesitantly voted lower for 4-H centers that appear to be youth focused.
It just came across but in my region there is one and on their website it says that it is the biggest of the country they do teaching for every age but i saw they do jumpings aswell they and they also going for walkings outdoors with the horses since it is situated near to the forrest
Riding School = "Generic Business"
Why is a sportclub not a generic buisness then and you could see a riding school as a sport thing because they even do jumpings
And i thought niantic stated that local pubs could be eglible if it is the only one around well the riding school is the only one around
I admit I'm too lazy to fine the guideline to quote but for activity related businesses, Niantic wants them to have some extra "oompf". It should be notable in some way (like the largest in the country! That could fit). If it's listed in travel guides as a tourist destination or it's well known for training champions- anything like that could make it eligible. It's just on the submitter to prove that.
@sogNinjaman-ING I'm not sure why you are so quick to dismiss it? It may not be significant enough to pass, but I don't feel like we have enough info to say for sure one way or the other. Why is it such an automatic "no" for you?
Could you elaborate a little on this reasoning? I'm not sure exactly what a "riding school" is, but if it's an activity related business I wouldn't immediately dismiss it.
Activity-related businesses (gyms, dance studios, martial arts studios, etc.)
Many non-chain activity businesses hold significant local value and can be destinations for the region.
It's where you can learn how to ride a horse i didn't really knew what the english word was but that's what google said
horse riding is an olympic discipline so i consider this in a sport category
Besides that it's the biggest of the country and also breed horses and i did some research and the guy who came fourth in the national championship of dressure this year got his horse here
They also do events like jumpings etc
I successfully submitted a place where they play polo. And it made it through on the first attempt!
In my case, I guess it counts as a sports field. But I also made sure to place the pin for the nomination at a location where pedestrians could conceivably stand safely (ie. off the field itself), at the roadside entrance.
Reminder, Wayfinder is for "pedestrians", not "riders". Best to make sure the location is at a spot outside of where the horses themselves are stabled/corralled.
That sounds like what I suspected. I'm not sure it's exactly the same, but it does sound like an "equestrian" center. Most of those I have had no problem reviewing favorably.
I believe it sounds eligible. I would make sure to elaborate on accomplishments of the center or maybe community events/competitions it organizes.
A place where you pay money to ride a horse / take riding lessons. Think of a farm with a sign saying "riding school" at the front gate.
What is the difference exactly with a tennis club / football club you also pay for lessons and to do exercise
I don't see much difference they are all olympic sports and here in my country you have more than 100 clubs for football while you don't got ten for horseriding
