Cannot use an upgrade

Hi everyone! I would like to know how to manually apply an upgrade. I review often so I got an upgrade but I didn't have nominations. I supposed upgrade will auto-apply to the first nomination I got, but no. I nominated some POI this morning and the upgrade is still there, my nominations didn't get upgraded. I even selected one of them as "Upgrade Next", but it didn't work. Then, I got another upgrade by reviewing and it auto-applied to the one I'd chosen before, and the first upgrade I had earned is still there like "stuck".

Normally, new submitted nominations need up to one day until your stored upgrades are used on them. You can also go on your submissions and press the "Upgrade next" button to put the next upgrade on this submission.

Please allow me to clarify that for you @PeterMcCartney-PGO. I have looked into our system and can see that both your Upgrades have been used successfully. Please note that it may take some time for the status to reflect on Wayfarer platform due to a sync lag.
@NianticAaron can I get assistance in removing an upgrade next? I've had one stuck for 1.4 years on a remote location submission that will probably never get approved or denied and I can't use any others or remove this upgrade next.
Hey @Engrish-ING, could you please write in to in-App support with the details of the submission where you have applied "Upgrade Next". They should be able to help you out with this.
@NianticAaron I've reported it once with no luck under bugs/product feedback but otherwise there isn't a good catagory that seems like I should report this under
