PoGo-Nominations for Level 38 ...... why?!

8min ago NianticHelp twittered, that the LEvel requirement was lowered .... to say it with the words of a wise man: Is this an out of season april fools joke?
My submissions are in queue and in voting for at least 6 months, mean time increasing. The queue needs to be lowered, not increased ...

@NianticCasey-ING you´re having a laugh
I don't think it's an out of season April Fool's. If anything, they sound very serious.
Aside from it adding to the backlog, it just means that those players with multiple accounts that haven't quite reached level 40 yet will be able to submit more stuff. To as whether this is a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen.
Trash nominations up, good reviewers nomination down. Thats the system. And thats sad. I would decrease the number of players being able to submit instead of increasing it.
The probably hope the more nominations, the more reviewers because they want their upgrade.
Wont work. They would just slower everything down. In special, for the "not-even-a-little-bit-of-priority-cells" like I live in. I havent even got a single nomination getting through the review without upgrade. Only in the high-priority-areas, and there it took 3 days..
Waves of bad requests are coming, people at level 40 are not ready to ask, as 38 will be ...
I doubt level 38 players bring able to submit would make much of a difference, most players are level 40 by now, some with multiple accounts that are level 40 as well.
It's a bad idea it's bad enough already.
I don't get cool downs but can see them increasing for others for rejecting a lot more in one reviewing session.
They the submitters don't go through a test can you imagine your accepted/rejected ratio in the next thew months.
Only suggestion is to report it as abuse ( house submissions ) because they will be a lot more common now.
Niantic what are you thinking seriously I'm from the opr days of reviewing and most of my community have quit already because of the amount of rubbish in wayfarer reviewing process.
The biggest problem is that the lower requirements will allow more alts to submit. There are now people who excited that they now have 21 nominations every two weeks, and a lot of the nominations were...not good. They weren't really coal, but rather things that should be rejected but often aren't. As a result, the nominations kept getting resubmitting until they are approved.
I feel like reviewing a little should be a requirement before being able to submit. I was 38 when I started voting and I got a good idea of what was acceptable or not. Anyway I have friends who are 38 and they are happy about this. I told them to talk to me before sending stuff
And more cooldown and poor rating complaints into this forum 🙄
Niantic had a choice to improve either quality or quantity of their Wayspots, and guess what? They choose quantity instead.
yes, there werent enough things to reviews, so someone up at Niantic HQ said "we need more submissions"
Oh aye, anyone with an alt account that's level 38 or just coming up to level 48 will be adding more to the system but for the most part, a lot of players will be level 40 by now, even ones with alt. accounts.
All we can do is hope that the initial hype eases off and that there's less ineligible stuff submitted
In an ideal world players would have to review and get agreements in order to charge your in game submissions.
I may be wrong, but I think they are looking to get more waypoints in for when they release Catan World Explorers.
Im not too fussed about Lvl 38 getting to submit as long as they are decent submissions. If you don’t know the rules it’s irrelevant your level, Niantic need to take this opportunity to teach new people what’s a decent submission and if they do that, it might mean more cool stuff as portals / pokestops which is only a good thing.
Worst comes to worst, easy agreements on 1*
It’s weird if that is the case for CWE. I would think it’d make more sense to open it up to HPWU players instead.
Possibly but definitely more work (building links from HPWU to Wayfairer, designing ‘custom’ submission screens and submission emails etc). PoGo is, presumably, changing a value from 40 to 38 in a database.
Lol, hinting at all to opening up HP:WU Wayspot nominations when it's been since JUNE that Wayspots have synced into that game.
Yeah that is bad. They’ve said they hope to have a fix in place by the end of the year.
And now, you heard it. Level cap in GO will be raised into 50 and there will be some adjustment on XP gain (not so significant, I guess).
And level requirement to use Wayfarer will stay in 38?
I am optimistic. There is nothing new to learn between PoGo Level 30 and 40.
Niantic needs a large base of reviewers and nominators to be able to reward good players and ban abusive players and speed up the process.
The queue is not managed by excluding l38 players from submitting. Balance of in and out is managed by encouraging to play balanced.
At the moment, players in PoGo can nominate stops every second day without reviewing anything. That makes 180 submissions per year which is a lot if you spend it mostly in your hometown. If non-reviewers and beginners were reduced to nominate once per week or once per month, the influx of nominations would slow down. And the motivation to search good stops would increase because it is more painful to waste a nomination. If the queue is fast, upgrades would not be needed to speed up the process but to earn extra nominations.
How often do you review nominations? Perhaps asking a few of your friends to help review as well, I do my best to review daily and ask my friends to do the same especially if I’ve just nominate or any of them to clear the queues.
Even if you ask more people to review, there's some kind of algorithm set by Niantic to prioritize some cells while letting the remaining unprioritized, making many nominations left unreviewed for months (and even years).
That means, you—and your friends—might not see any nominations in your area while reviewing, and that's including yours.
I’m one of the main submitters in my area as I have 2 l40 accs. I made sure I really read criteria and such because getting a nomination rejected is quite painful and disheartening. When I saw the lvl go down to 38 and people in my area got excited to go start submitting I made sure to let them know what the criteria is because there has been a huge wave of terrible submission. Which i think is not all l38 pogo acc’s fault it may also be from the new criteria as well. I can generally tell between a good and bad nomination and even some of mine that should be accepted still take a few and even more painful when I have to use and upgrade and they get rejected the first time. I digress. Having a test for people before they start to submit would help eliminate alot of bad nominations. Also the criteria all together never had all the criteria so it is a learning curve as well to keep in mind :)
Oops, now you admit yourself for multi-accounting.
Theres nothing wrong with having multiple acc’s? They are 2 legit acc’s of mine who are both eligible to submit nominations. Its a very common thing in pokemon go to have a few acc’s.
to add to this my nominations are all generally solid. Gotten over 110 nominations accepted since I started submitting and its not because of using 2 accounts. The community I live in really appreciated the fact I took my own time to boost the ingress/pokemon player experience because there were a lot of places severly lacking and had quality poi’s that needed nominating
It is very common, but it is still very much against the terms of service!
I've been playing since it dropped in 2016, and have just become a lvl 38 wayfarer. I think my rural location meant I've been slow to get to 40, and as we all know the raid advantage in cities is OP.
I think the change in level helps create more wayfarers to grind through the backlog. I've reviewed 500+ and have submitted 3.
The biggest single mitigating factor is going to be player age/maturity. Remember a lot of young children play the game and can easily submit. However, reviewing requires some critical thinking.
BTW my rating has remained in the good and great range so far.
I think @NianticCasey-ING might disagree. Does anyone have a link to the last post where @NianticCasey-ING mentioned muti-accounting was against the Niantic TOS?
My apologies I don’t use them to cheat anything. Didn’t even realize it was against terms of service until someone pointed it out so thank you
