have you not read what Niantic want? They want Quality primarily, the new rulings mean that rural areas can have certain wayspot which city people would take for granted.
also read the guidance on what not to submit, anything within hospitals is not allowed for obstructing emergency services and Boy Scouts huts are not allowed for being a gathering place for children in the k12 category
Please don't act like you're speaking on behalf of all us. I certainly don't want quantity in the games I currently play (Ingress, Pokémon GO). I want quality. I want wayspots that will actually encourage me to explore and wayspots that might teach me something new about the history of an area.
Scout huts and playgrounds in church nurseries/preschools are to be rejected on grounds of being K12 according to NIA's criteria. Murals inside hospitals would also be rejected for obstructing emergency services. They want quality a lot more than they want quantity.
Did Ingressors ever get credit for past edit agreements (like Pokemonners did)? Do we get credit for new edits? Will we get credit for photo agreements?
I feel like half of what I review won't help me get upgrades, and that my Recon badge is severely undercounted (even with occasional double credit). At 19,500 reviews, I'm getting discouraged from the never-ending rules changes, and lack of control over getting reviews that count.
Could you please add the point for the information lcoal boards and maps ? They are missing now and @NianticCasey-ING stated how to deal with them in one of the posts in the community.
Let’s open this can of worms again now that the criteria has been refreshed. It’s often been said that postboxes are acceptable in the UK for their historical significance if they have cyphers on for older monarchs such as Queen Victoria.
Often, we see postboxes for the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, come through Wayfarer and the consensus is to reject these as:
There’s a lot of them, and they fall under being mass produced
She’s the current monarch
Little historical significance to them
as well as various other things that don’t meet criteria.
However, I wanted to see Niantic’s view too. Also to ask, would the first postbox for a new monarch (Lizzie is getting on a bit now) be acceptable as a POI, and would a new monarch then change the criteria for the previous ones postboxes carrying their cypher? (In other words, when Queen Elizabeth II passes, do postboxes marked with her cypher become eligible?)
Just to clarify: do gardens, parks and plazas need a plaque or unique feature to be accepeted?
People are saying that now a garden or plaza is eligible if you put the pin in the middle of it and that you don't need and anchorpoint (plaque, unique arquitecture, fountain) for the POI.
Now that the new criteria suggests places that people can meet and gather to get together and have a meal or a drink I’m getting a whole lot of picnic areas that are pretty much just a picnic table or several picnic tables. I do not want to be wrongfully rejecting things, but I also feel pretty sire that’s not what you guys intended. Are these valid now?
Could you please explain what is meant by the term "safety shelter" referred to in the bullet point under "Ineligible location, place, or object" - "Location is a private residential property (even if historical), farmland, a K12 and under school (preschool, primary/elementary, secondary/high school), child care/daycare center, rehabilitation center, safety shelter"?

Hi,
Can you help us examples of named hiking and biking trail signs / posts / discs / bridges etc
As in the UK some named trails signs are on generic blue street signs and they normally get rejected wrongly in my opinion.
Also in the UK are the National Cycle Route Network signs acceptable now?
Many thanks

I understood this as "do not misplace the Pin in order to try and generate a new PokéGym".
Knooppunten have never met criteria for me:

I started a discussion here with no clear consensus among reviewers. Could Niantic please clarify?
It's about 'generic' signs for cycling and walking paths.
