Thats like 65% of the stuff I have to review everyday :)
I get a lot of these, too. Make me furious. But then I try to tell myself, these are probably new nominators. They just nominated a stop that was similar to those they knew. Rookie mistake. After a few rejections, they will either stop nominating or read the guidelines. Harmless.
I got a bunch too, including a beautiful blank white wall. I guess all those new level 38 are using their new nominations wisely indeed...
The coal is real recently.
Look on the bright side, easy agreements for rejections
Question for you all. What do you do for nominations in rural areas where there are no stops or gyms? The nomination in question meets partial criteria... it's a welcome to the neighborhood rock sign with the name of the community on it. It isn't in the neighborhood or on the premises of a residential property. Pics, descriptions, location look good. Would you still recommend a nomination such as this?
We wouldn't even need upgrades in the first place if the system wasn't full of garbage.
I see no problem in here. Just accept it, if it meets all kind of criteria.
How come I have never seen such things when I'm reviewing? I must be lucky! Easy rejections, as others have said. Shame submitters don't get to see proper feedback though.
One person I know admitted the very first Wayspot he nominated was his sofa, just to see how the whole thing worked. Luckily, he went on to make only nominations that met the criteria (mainly sports pitches and playgrounds near his house). He could have withdrawn his sofa nomination but I guess he didn't know he could, and months later he got an e-mail stating that it had been rejected.
I've seen all of them today also.
It's a sad depressing experience to have on Wayfarer.
I'm of the mind set it's abuse if the location pin is directly on someone's property and treat it as such.
Something is going on. I have seen so many Fake POI submissions tonight, like obvious ridiculous ones. Pictures of trees in front yard, Goku on tv, etc... never had them in such numbers before.
Seriously. I just had 8 coals in a row, ranging from awful house-stop submissions, a random pond, a parking sign, and a chain hotel.
I'm gaining a ton of agreements super quickly, so there's that...
I think it’s because Niantic just let everyone in Pokémon Go levels 38 and up submit nominations now. A lot of bad submissions are being submitted because some are just learning. Unfortunately it is causing a lot of backlog.
I would accept that - the entrance sign is made of rock which isn't terribly common and it's easily accessible. Also, it's not like the area is rife with stops, so I see no harm in accepting this one as a plaque or similar.
Just got this gem...
That legit is a selfie as the main image for a POI that "was a motel," but is now a residential space (?), that is titled Executive Office (???). Address erased and identity obscured to protect the innocent.
Another winning. Obviously I 5* all the way down.
And another. Been a weird night for reviews...
Double whammy, empty cornfield AND pokemon referrence
Prime example I'm sure some of you have seen this:
I used to think these were honeypots. Now I just realize people are trying just for the slim chance it goes through. I don't know if I can blame them. It costs nothing and a few silly stops still make it through.
there are honeyspots. But they are most likely 100% acceptable or 100% rejected.
And yet there are many older nominations that are still in voting in my country for years, but some of them are 'laughable'. For example:
The nomination doesn't have any supporting information and photo, so I guess it's a nomination before Wayfarer. However, it's just a duck statue (or a toy?) and of course it's located inside submitter's house. What's more, there's a Wayspot near of it and that's actually a kind of merchandise that is also located inside submitter's house!
Now if we had option to report those Wayspots faraway...
I reject a lot of them, but i don't know what to do when they draw something .
I'm scared of reject it and other reviewers accept it and get penalized.
I got this one but don't know how to rate it
Don't know if I reject it but someone else approves it, can I get in trouble?
That one should be rejected under private residentil property reason, due to the drawing was drawn on the outer walls of someone's house.
However, if somehow it got approved, you'll only not earned any agreements while those approved it won't get punished?
I got this one yesterday, looks like it was already approofd, while its on private residents. I wanted to report but lost the adres 😔 (forgot to screenshot that one)
It's because they reduced the level able to submit poke-stops in pogo. Big mistake. They need to make more rules on how to submit and limitations. Look another amazing submission below! Rejected about 15 in a row just like this.
Yes LOADS today. I also had that one.
Interestingly, I've seen at least 1 Little Free Library in my area (on edge of Single Family home yard), which I voted 1*:PRP make it into the system later that week.
I feel that along with unacceptable submissions, we may also see some unacceptable acceptances. The agreement meta could start to get murky.
