I wish we could know this for sure. However if EVERYONE did this you are talking about millions of global nominations of abusive locations. Honestly forcing someone to read the criteria before nominating has to be a must now. Niantic need to look at what's happening and actually have these people's right to review suspended even after one strike.
This is beyond submitting stuff like English Heritage blue plaques, postboxes in boundary walls and murals on gable ends of houses that niantic consider PRP. National lawsof private vary from country to country and what is considered as public in one place may not be in another. These should not result in suspensions.
It honestly is not rocket science to know that this kind of couch pokestop/portal is NOT Niantic's goal. If Niantic demonstrate that they can and will actively clamp down on people who submit blatant abuse like this, those of us who do submit legit stuff will hopefully see a marked improvement in the system.
We all are suggesting that the pandemic and lockdowns we are all experiencing are having a humongously detrimental effect on Wayfarer but Niantic are turning a blind eye to the cause.
Niantic, before you know it, everyone will be in my boat and forced to upgrade everything regardless of rurality/urbanity.
I’ve heard a lot of people get lots of these terrible submissions in a row and since they are very obvious rejects hit the 1* and move on but if you get lots in a row then get a cooldown and one was told that taking less than a minute on a review was one of the things that could affect rating or cooldowns.
people are leaving wayfarer because of repeatedly getting cooldowns and the terrible submissions, it’s not cute that people don’t know how that they shouldn’t submit their own house.
@Qwizical-ING and many others have to wait over a year (must be approaching 18 months now 🤔) but the system is clogged with absolute rubbish. What do you intend on doing about it @NianticCasey-ING
People will submit what they see. If they play in an area that has plenty of gyms on private property they will assume that stops on private property are fine and submit more of them.
Because they assume:
- what is in game is Ok
- rules are not important to niantic if they can sell raid passes
- niantic actually appreciates PRP stops as they fought for them in court and obtained an agreement to remove (only?) if asked to. Therefore the PRP rule applies only to non-player-PRP.
- level x players deserve stops where they want
- because they read old internet guides and watch old youtube guides and not new Niantic guidelines.
Same with cars. If you have a speed limit on a road but see everyday someone drive fast with nothing ever happening, everybody will speed up more or less.
Submitting of ineligible stops will stop only if stops that are ineligible under newest rules will be retired.
with the botton one survey markers was from the OPR memorandum guide it was not a Krug AMA question. It is also a clear reject anyway for having an in-game reference in the description but I wouldn’t have accepted that anyway.
On a second look you might be right. Didn't save the pic unfortunately. But whatever is the case here - photoshop or vandalism - both is abuse and shouldn't even be in the system in the first place.
Just to note folks, I would encourage you to remove the addresses when sharing photos of these poor submissions. Should be able to do on a phone/computer easily.
OMG, so many of these kinds of submissions now. I have little time for reviewing in the first place, and now to spend it on these is just completely disappointing. I'm not so concerned about getting the 'easy agreements' from them, so it's just a waste of time for all this trash, trash, trash.
The subject of the nomination is a plaque. But it is actually a cover of a columbarium. Maybe stolen from a graveyard. It is easily identifiable by its number in the upper left corner. The description says K... Sándor was a poet and translator. But there cannot be found any poet under this name. So, the whole nomination is fake, and very very disgusting.
I reviewed a lot of coal, but this one is too good not to share:
No, it wasn't my Wayfarer not loading picture, both were actually completely black photos. Texts were reading "I don't know what to write" and "because it's near my house".

You and me both I've put a thew examples ( pictures in my thread )

Is this truly what you want?

Nice topic 😀
Today I met these within 10 minutes:
The title in English: Heaven's light
Description: The light of God came here.
This one needs no comment:
Bonus 😄
In my opinion Andrew Krug was wrong.
So I had this gem in my reviews today. @NianticCasey-ING You might want to take action against players who vandalise public property :)
530 days (almost 18 months).
It just shows you how little is cared about limbo because we're expected to upgrade our way through it.
Imagine all the house subs within cities like London, where it's basically upgrade or nothing, which havent been found yet because of limbo.
It's a scary thought.
This looks like Photoshop in my eyes. Do you have the picture link so I can scan it?

oh and this
Creative, but it's on private residental area. And the supporting info says everything. Its purpose is obvious.
...

At least they are free agreements. That makes it better. Sadly, they are dumping the quere of submissions. Thats the negative aspect....
Easy agreements, sure. However if they comes in a row, you might get a chance to got a cooldown.
Which is also annoying.
aaaand again. Submitting your microwave 2 times in a row. I feel like a human spam filter lol
Beat this!

I censored the family name and the address.
lol
Another one 🎉
Why are you fakins such a 1* generic sign?? I really lost hope in submitters...

my son sent me this today. he had this in review.
This house submission is kinda funny:
