I’m not a native English speaker. Not sure whether it is correct. I found the definition of water features on Wikipedia. It seems that they are artificial decorations in gardens. Also, they are related to water.
Show us a picture of the object you wish to nominate.
I'll clarify this for you, @garfieldfreakje-PGO! As stated by @phi2458-PGO, water features are created artificially ranging from pools, ponds, waterfalls etc. While nominating you should keep in mind that it should be a place where people can be social with others, a place of entertainment as such. It could also be something which carries a historical significance or importance in a locally and culturally relevant way.
Having said that, it is always a good practice to enter a comprehensive information of a place you're going to nominate making it crisp clear for the reviewers. I hope this pretty much answers your question, let me know if there are any other clarifications to make. I'll be happy to do so!
I would like to nominate this plaque because here was a watersource in the forrest but it has been rejected due several (incorrect) reasons
There is also another watersource
In total there are three in the giant forrest one is a wayspot the other ones not
But with this one there doesn't flow water through anymore but it has also a bit of history because it was used for the steamtram
It might help of there was actually some water in the photo. TBH, I would reject this as "not meeting criteria", it is a sign on a stick and no more.

@NianticGiffard Are 4 meter high public water tanks eligible?
Are they a good place to be social? Do they encourage exercise? Do they help you explore your community? (In most cases, for generic infrastructure like a simple water tank, the answer to each of these questions will be no.)
I would not consider them eligible.
Unlike something like a water tower, which stands tall, and often are a landmark (exploration criteria), simple small water tanks don't fill the same role.
I'm going to nominate a water way located within a park shortly. It has heritage listing, meets all the S.E E....and I'm still betting it'll be rejected. I do have one problem, the photo won't be able to reflect it in entirety, and may be a problem...oh well
I nominated a water fountain within a man-made lake, however as there is no path that leads directly to the fountain in the middle of the lake, it was rejected. You also need to keep this in consideration when nominating water-based stops.
