Additional information: This was rejected under pretense that it is "Nomination title or description is not relevant, The real-world location of the nomination appears to represent a generic store or restaurant". This is not a "generic store or restaurant" it is an HVAC trade school and laboratory, I do not understand why it was rejected and hopefully someone can give me some further insight on how I can improve my submission to get it approved.
This is a high traffic trade school, we have anywhere from 2-3 classes of 10-50 people daily with lots of downtime in between where they hang around and socialize, I definitely think this would be a great place for a stop. The rejection reasons given do not seem valid and I think this deserves a second look for an appeal.
Comments
It seems that you have jumped to the third rejection reason (maybe only one person selected that), the first reason in your rejection email is "Does not meet acceptance criteria".
First, the emailed reasons are a copy/paste effort from Niantic to give the nominator an idea about how the community of reviewers voted, and have to be taken with a grain of salt.
Second, there is no appeal for rejected nominations. You must try to figure out what needs to be improved and resubmit.
I see the title, but it would be helpful to see your nomination to help you improve it: nomination photo, description, supporting photo, and supporting information. The Google Maps capture does look like a Subaru business, but the other two photos do say lab and training school, so there might be a possibility of getting it through. I would need more information.
I believe it does meet the criteria as it's a trade school.
I am not trying to appeal the rejection, I just want clarification on what I can fix so that it is accepted. I'm not sure where the subaru dealership thing came from, this is a lab/trade school. Below are pictures of the nomination itself and supporting info.
My two cents:
First, Ruud and Century A/C are both generic businesses, and the submission appears to be a place where these companies train their employees and contractors, not an actual vocational (trade) school providing post-secondary education of some sort.
Second, heavy foot traffic does not make for a Wayspot.
Thanks for your input, the trainings offered here are done by RUUD/ CAC employees, training new and experienced HVAC professionals, they are accessible to anyone seeking HVAC licensing, this is not a training lab for RUDD /CAC employees.
I was pointing out that the first rejection reason in the email is Does not meet criteria, not the "generic store" that did bother you.
Other people reviewed it and they thought that it does not meet criteria, looking at your nomination and supporting info, I can see why they thought that. You haven't explained why this would meet any criteria, and you've wasted your supporting info begging for a pokestop instead of explaining how this is really a valid wayspot
Trying to get this approved might be a hard task, despite your comments here I still fail to see it matching the eligibility criteria.
Thanks for your input
For me, this is a "Generic Business", not an Educational Establisment.
Thanks for your input. I thought this might have been a good stop but I see now that I was wrong and most people do not agree.
It was the Google maps label on the inset in your Capture2
