I have recently submitted the below as the entrance Sing to Battle Rec, East Sussex. To be told its a duplicate. The play park has a stop not the entrance. Can anyone shine some light on this for me please?

This appears to be a rules sign for the play area. Since the sign is does not meet any criteria on its own, it could only perhaps be eligible as a proxy for the playground. The playground already has a wayspot, so it was correctly marked as a duplicate.
The playground isnamed "playparc", which can get rated as the whole parc. This would make the sign a duplicate to the parc.
Thanks for the feedback, What about the picnic area?
A "picnic area" should normally be rejected. I did suggest a few other potential Waypoints the other day - submit this sign at the entrance to the park instead of the one you photographed. Provided you get the pin on the sign it should be in cell with no other waypoints and appear in game.
From what I saw on the satellite view, it looks like the "picnic area" might be referring to a picnic shelter? If so, that would likely be an eligible submission. However, if it's where I think it is (just south of the play castle) you should know that it would not make it into Pokémon GO due to wayspot spacing rules; it would still appear in Ingress, though.
Also, it's a bit difficult to tell, but it looks like there's a third playground east of the tennis courts? That could also be submitted as a separate playground from the other two and would appear in Pokémon GO (though it might really get mistakenly rejected as a duplicate). The tennis courts would also likely be an eligible submission, but you could run into issues with wayspot spacing depending on where the entrance to the tennis courts actually is.
It looks like this sign is within 20 meters of an existing wayspot, so it would be automatically rejected, unfortunately.
The 20m rule doesnt mean rejection just means if it does get approved it wont show up in any game
I think I've seen Niantic employees describe this as an "automatic rejection," but thank you for clarifying my meaning. Yes, it will still go through reviews and may be approved, but even if it's approved, it won't become a wayspot.

Thank you, I did take your recommendations on Board. Some of which have been approved already!
I checked using the Ingress Intell map for both Cell coverage and distance from other nearby Waypoints, this should be ok on both points if placed correctly on the sign.
