Request to move to true location
Title of the Wayspot: Statue of Professor Maheswar Neog
City: Jorhat
Country: India
Screenshot of the Rejection Email: Don't appear in any games so, no emails. Only acceptance email available, if needed.
Additional information:
Like to appeal for correction of a location of a statue to match is real life location.
As seen in Images 5A&B and 6A&B, Object 5 is located between edges of the Buildings A and B; and left of G1 gate (Image 1A, 5A and 6A). However, as seen in image 7, object 5 is moved near to the object 3 wrongly (26.757781,94.208998). As seen in Images 4A and 4C, objects 2, 4 and 5 are seen almost in a straight line towards the boundary wall of the complex. Additionally, to validate location accuracy, this photosphere (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5YZnBByAWfjchtFq8) can be used. In this photosphere, Building A is seen on one side and Building C on opposite side (accepted POI). Using these are references, other objects can be located as marked in Image 1A. Further, using these relative positions of the objects, one can pinpoint that object 5 has it's real location at (26.757697,94.209221). Request Niantic to change the location of the POI to reflect the true location.

Appeal Accepted - Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. Based on the evidence provided, we’ve moved the Pokéstop/Gym to the correct location.
@NianticGiffard... It's been 4 days since you accepted the appeal, yet why is the changed location updated on intel map yet? Does it take a while to reflect on the ingress intel map?
"Appeal Accepted" means something like "something of your appeal got changed", not everything got changed.
@Lorddrake789-PGO I don't know what's the meaning of @NianticGiffard response, but if your problem is that the nomination wasn't added to the intel map as I understand trying to read your first message, then you must nominate it again.
I haven't seen any time that a nomination that wasn't added due to being closer than 20 meters when approved, and then managed to get it added to the games through these forums.
@LukeAllStars-PGO, what do you mean by "something of your appeal got changed". Only one request was made and that was to move the said object to reflect the real life location. What else could have been changed to say appeal accepted?
@WheelTrekker-ING, nominate it again why? Because as stated in the post, there are 2 bronze statues in the complex. One appears in satellite view and other doesn't as it is obstructed by trees. So, to ascertain the location, relative positions of accepted wayspots can be used. But, even after explaining the whole scenario, community wrongly moved it as only one statue is seen. And as the community is going to be same every time, I don't see anything to be different if nominated again.
Moreover, before commenting, I went through other Appeal accepted posts in this forum and found those with having their appeals accepted have had the concerned wayspots changed to reflect true location and are appearing in intel map.
Please, show me a post where a nomination was approved in Wayfarer, but wasn't added to Ingress because it was closer than 20 meters to an existing portal, then the person appealed the location and it was added to the game when someone from Niantic agreed with the edit appeal.
So far, I've seen only approved edits of wayspots that do exist in the ingress Intel map.
@WheelTrekker-ING, I said that when someone appealed in this forum and if it was accepted, it was moved to the right location and it appeared in Ingress intel map after being moved.
However, I think there is a confusion here. Are you suggesting that if appeal was accepted to move the wayspot and which didn't appear previously on Intel map due to proximity wouldn't appear on intel map even if the new distance is more than 20 metres?
What I am saying is, earlier due to won't location, the said wayspot didn't appear in any games. And if the appeal was accepted (which would mean moving it to true location), then, the wayspot should appear in all games as it will be more than 20 metres away and also in a vacant L17 cell. Are you suggesting, the wayspot position is only changed in Niantic servers only and it doesn't reflect in any of the games after change?
Yes, any successful edits that you can find in these forums are request to move existing wayspots that are in Ingress.
I haven't seen any edit of a wayspot that didn't exist in Ingress and then it was moved with an appeal and automatically became added to Ingress. Any time that the nomination isn't added due to being too close (or marked duplicate or whatever), you have to use a new nomination.
@WheelTrekker-ING What a waste of time and energy then. First, spend so much time nominating and when it gets accepted, it don't appear because of people wrongly moved it. And then appeal, and even after it gets accepted, you get to know that the whole exercise spanning months is an infructuous one.
