Cheating on rejecting proposals!

A group of Italian players have created a secret chat to agree to reject all proposals and have agreements. You have to do something!

Honestly, without them knowing anything (You didnt really give any specific information), Nia cant do anything. Niantic would need the names of the trainers/agents and then check their WF history (I dont know whether tis is even possible for Nia). Otherwise there is nothing you/they could do.

I confirm there's something wrong in Italy, or better, in some areas. There are so much rumors about this: secret chats, stranges Google Chrome's plug in, mechanic votes to get an upgrade rejecting everything with absurd (and always the same) reasons. Anyway... moods are not important (the motivations are faster upgrade for their portal, but, more, faster platinum Wayfarer submissions medal that was the real cause of all Italian problems) but, at the moment, 8 or 9 LEGIT submit of ten are rejected, and the time every legit player uses for get an upgrade for his portals is wasted.... Playgrounds, parks, soccer fields, monuments and more was rejected to me and I'm so tired. I guess Wayfarer doesn't concentrate herself on voting time but more on voting patterns because the entire mechanism' s becoming useless.

Really sad to see this sort of stuff happening all over the world.

Even sadder that Niantic is staying silent on this issue and how they're dealing with it.

that is just talk. it is utter nonsense to propose there is something wrong in italy. there is no camorra and mafia and no cabal.

here in germany you will get a rejection for alot of good submissions after you applied an upgrade.

This isn't the first time I hear about such cabal/secret's not even a secret. it's the largest Italian telegram community which does this.

  • Thanks for reporting, @PeppeAttack-ING! We do have a system in place to identify and penalize reviewers who do not vote according to the criteria. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect their privacy, they may include, but are not limited to, sending a warning message, placing restrictions on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO, or Ingress account, putting their account on probation, or placing a temporary or permanent suspension on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account.

You don't understand. Until some months ago was different. There was some wrong rejectings but was normal quantity... With a second or, at least, a third submission, they was approved. Now it's quiet impossible, I talk for my area, to get an approbation. If you look my Wayfarer page you'll understand why I'm telling this. In this month I had a 15/20 % of submission approved... I used my time to go in the point and make a request. I used my time to get an upgrade. 15/20 % an totally legit places is unfair, mad wrong. There's no mafia, I agree, but there're a lot of cheaters for sure.

also sometimes our submissions arent really the greatest. i have to admit, sometimes theres B and C stuff i have to submit, because there isnt anything better.

Si hay grupos en ciertas zona que se dedican a rechazar propuestas tiene sus grupos para ello tengo algunas validas que las paran rechazando duran de 4 a 9 horas en votación y son rechazadas.

This behavior also impacted us in Tunisia, knowing that we don't have enough players for a submission to be accepted, and we know that Italian players vote for us, like we vote for them.

We have noticed this issue few months ago. At first we didn't understand why until we see this post. Actually, several legit submission (university for exemple) are being refused and many players have become tired and are thinking about giving up.

In addition to that, we don't have a sufficient number of portals to be able to play properly, even in big cities.

Thanks to PeppeAttack-ING for this post.

    On a side note.

Will this action be taken against people who consistently reject perfectly fine trail marker submissions?! @NianticEG

I am a Tunisian Pokémon Go player and I am really disappointed by the number of rejections impacting players in Tunisia, which I believe is caused by Italians voting against our submissions. Now, the majority of Tunisians no longer want to make new submissions because they are sure to be shot down by Italians. I think that Niantic should intervene and limit Italian reviews to our submissions in Tunisia, especially since we do not share the same culture and language. I feel that this may be a form of discrimination by Italians.

  • Scooooolta-PGOScooooolta-PGO Posts: 6 ✭✭

Sincerely.... If I'm complaing here Is because I know my rejected request (another one today, third time) are A type. I've got some B and C requests but if they was and they'll be reject I know why and I'll not complain here.

  • Scooooolta-PGOScooooolta-PGO Posts: 6 ✭✭

I'm Italian and I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm sure things are exactly how you told, and I'm sorry. The only thing I can say is that situation is the same from Italian players to other Italian players, and from Switzerland and French players to Italian players... Niantic has to change the way of evaluation in one more sure way because at the moment is nearly impossible submit anything. I'm very very sorry for the negligence of my people.

  • rodensteiner-INGrodensteiner-ING Posts: 327 ✭✭✭✭

this is more a cultural thing.

i am sure that in Tunisia there are wayspots going thru that wouldnt make it in italy.

because people dont know the cultural value.

viceversa there are things in italy that ppl here would frown about (Germany)

    Niantic needs to Geofence. Period.

  • Scooooolta-PGOScooooolta-PGO Posts: 6 ✭✭

It's real but it's not only this. There's a real cheating and I'm going crazy to think Niantic is doing nothing about this. They check seconds you use to vote, but they should check patterns of vote... There's bot or similar many players are using...

  • Scooooolta-PGOScooooolta-PGO Posts: 6 ✭✭

    This my actual situation:

I'm trying to emprove Pokestop and gyms in father's city. Over 90% of my submissions have been rejected. When I submit something in my city over 90% are goals. My father's city is 15 minutes far from my city. Do you have any idea why? I have. My father's city is close to Milan, my city is 15 km to the center of Milan. If I get an upgrade people who votes are different. If I don't get an upgrade people who votes are players of entire Italy's area, and Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, France. In the first case my submissions are quiet surely reject (my father's city, nearby Milan). In the second and the third case, viceversa. So... It's so weird, do you agree with it? There are secret chats, there are bots and Chrome's plugins, many players tell me, and if our upgrade runs in the evening/night it'll 100% reject. I hope, and I suggest, Niantic changes its parameters... They must check patterns of vote more accurately, and sampling rejection reasons, not only check how much time you use to vote.

(sorry for my English, I know is not the best, but I'm confident you can understand)

In many cities, requests are rejected by ingress players so as not to favor players of the opposing faction.

  • TheFarix-PGOTheFarix-PGO Posts: 1,680 ✭✭✭✭✭

This is an old wives tale that doesn't hold any water given that there is enough Pokemon Go reviewers to significantly dilute any influence an ENL or RES voting block has over Wayspot nominations.

  • rodensteiner-INGrodensteiner-ING Posts: 327 ✭✭✭✭

ing players dont care about wayspots. they want their biiiiig fields

  • rodensteiner-INGrodensteiner-ING Posts: 327 ✭✭✭✭

and yes, there seems to be an "Illuminati"-Like Group behind all this. If you follow the words in this post, you might find a clue if you read them backwards after midnight.

The stuff I feel like best and most clearly qualified fails. The most **** thing I can do which appears to be an automatic acceptance passed. :/

An old fountain that is similar in appearance to many others and that doesn't function... or the largest speciality bookstore of its kind in Europe that attracts people from all over to visit? Guess which one passed?

  • rodensteiner-INGrodensteiner-ING Posts: 327 ✭✭✭✭

    not the bookstore
