Creative wayfarer abuse/forgery in a residential neighborhood

I just received a nomination review for a seemingly innocent "In Memory of John Harper" memorial plaque. It was a brick with a piece of paper on top of it.

I did a little more searching and found two other Wayspots currently in the area that were obviously fake as well. One was a copied, successful attempt at the same John Harper plaque, the other was for Eagles Hill Ridge Park, which a quick Google search will tell you doesn't exist.

Still have doubts? Here's the link that they provided in the supporting info. Please, give it a click

I reported each location as a "Fake Nomination" already. Hopefully someone at Niantic catches on

I am expecting the same thing to happen in my area actually. A player I know used art from his house to get a nomination approved, got a second nomination approved nearby, and his temporary art turned into a gym. His friends were joking about wanting to move the art to different locations and do the same thing. The art of course is not where the gym is but Niantic doesn't seem to care - the gym is still there about 6 months later.

  • Thanks for flagging, @Cadester22-PGO! We have reviewed the report and have taken necessary actions on the Wayspots and Wayfinders in accordance with our policies. Thank you!
