Game based grafitti

Hey, I was seeking clarification on game based graffiti be it Pokemon, Harry Potter or Ingress. My understanding is that Niantic has explicitly stated that graffiti featuring these should automatically be rejected. Does anyone have a link that mentions that?

Otherwise, most examples people submit would still fail as being temporary no? Because in most cases, these are not that different than tagging by artists or gang members, lack artistic merit, are painted without permission or are painted where they could be painted over when a local government does cleanup?

    I wold say there is a difference between game based titles/descriptions and game based objects:

    Game based titles/descriptions

    naming a graffiti of a dragon "Dragonite" (or a similar name)

    => 1*-> bad title/description

    Game based objects

    A graffiti of a Pikachu

    => eligeble, the title is fitting to the object, you need to use the game based title/description.

    => eligeble, if it fits criteria for a POI

    This is how I would rate in this situation and also what I read in multiple discussions about this topic + my own experience:

    My rule of thumb for graffiti is "if this were my wall, would I paint it over immediately?" If the answer is yes, then is vandalism and rates 1*, otherwise is art and I'll rate it on its merits.

    Naming a Pikachu image "Pikachu Mural" is ok, naming a random dragon "Gyarados Attacks" is not.

    If it can identify someone such as tags it is also automatically ineligible.

    This is an example of a name that should have been rejected... "Gimnasio Machamp" (Gym Machamp) for some random outdoor excercise equipment in a public park... which is a great 5* nomination with a BAD name that should have been rejected.
