How could this happend ??? -.-
"Your proposal was rejected for the following reason: The proposal does not appear to be of historical or cultural significance., There has been no confirmation that an adequate pedestrian path leads to the real location of the proposal., The photo appears tilted, rotated or misaligned .."
@NianticCasey-ING the only opinion is to submit again ???

Submit again.
I think, this a kind of Submisson, Niantic have to re-review -,- ... because it is a clear case and there is no discussion for the incorrect Result.
They dont and they cant. There are a lot of such wrong rejectinons. Luckily, you dont need to waist Upgrades on it. And 4 months quere time isnt that long
Just look through the posts in the "Invalid Wayspot Appeals" and see how many you can find from a Niantic employee that say:
Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. We're not currently reviewing Pokéstop/Gym candidates. Please resubmit the nomination by improving its title/description if you feel that it was a valid nomination.
Niantic will not change the decision, even if the nomination is one that should be a 5* acceptance nomination like this one.
I have a very similar problem with a POI i nomitted, rejected twice so far, i created a new discussion about it, but it is still under review before its posted, i think it's very important that explorers get al least one chance to appeal a rejection, especially if they have a great reputation. Weeks, months if not even more time is lost because certain reviewers just do not evaluate properly.
👍🏻 So True.
Photo orientation? Landscape and not portrait?
O.o ???
If people are rejecting nominations for photo orientation, then they should just stop reviewing. Photo orientation is not grounds for rejection.
Only orientation, like if they are upside down or something like that, not portrait or landscape, right?
Yep
Upside down, tilted or sideways. That does not mean portrait or landscape, since different games favor different orientations. For example, Ingress favors landscape and all images are cropped to fit that orientation.
Very important that you shouldn't just outright reject a photo because it is uploaded in one orientation or the other unless the quality of the photos is impacted.
The words landscape and portrait never appear there.
And as I told another user, my impression was that orientation for photo meant only portrait allowed; I can't think of any waypoint in the wild near me in landscape. If I am making this mistake, then chances are many others assume the same when they are reviewing and people who submit landscape may well have a better chance submitting portrait.
Or if insisting only on landscape, then linking to Niantic guidance that clearly states landscape is allowed in the extra informand why landscape was used instead of portrait.
Did you even read the full quote? I can't help you if you are willfully blind to what @NianticCasey-ING said in that post.
Did you even read what I wrote in the context of people reviewing your submissions?
I read your quote and landscape and portrait orientation were not there. These are the only context which I know orientation in the context of a photo. Niantic was not clear and they are using language in a way that has specific usage. It causes people like me to reject for that reason.
You've now reached the point of willfully not wanting assistance in getting your submission passed. My explanation is the most obvious of all explanations offered. There is no other reason it would fail that I can see.
Do you understand? Or do you want to question my literacy skills, proclaim more grandly that Niantic language in use of orientation is universally understood in a different way, and have your submission a 14th time?
I suspect you prefer time number 14 for fail.
Everyone is telling you that landscape and portrait orientation are both fine.
And now you're mixing the OP with another user.
Stop, take a breath and read.
And mixing the threads as well. This is not the architechture thread.
Here's the full NianticCasey quote from the link above.
"Hi folks,
This criteria clarification is, as many people have pointed out, in reference to photos that are uploaded with an orientation that doesn't match the photo. So for example, a photo taken in landscape uploaded with portrait orientation. This can also apply to photos that are tilted or askew. Aa
Very important that you shouldn't just outright reject a photo because it is uploaded in one orientation or the other unless the quality of the photos is impacted."
I literally quoted @NianticCasey-ING where they said that reviewers should not outright rejected nominations because of photo orientation (portrait vs landscape). And yet, you still insist that Casey said no such thing. Combine that with the fact that you are confusing me with the OP shows that it is you who is not actually reading.
Your reading comprehension skills is lacking for sure. When niantic mentions orientation they are literally talking about landscape or portrait, they even mention it in the paragraph directly above. As long as the photo is upright and not tilted in the nomination process its fine.
