The POI is in a roundabout and has no safe pedestrian access. This POI got removed correctly.

Why was that accepted twice at all? That should have been rejected. I'm slowly no longer surprised that I don't get any agreements. The other day there was a begging in the declaration of approval because it is "only a few meters" ... this is a roundabout.

This is another example of a big failure in Wayfarer (as well as the recent posts about some wayspots approved many times and then removed as many times).

Niantic doesn't provide any feedback to the people that sent the nomination that they have removed it because it fails some criteria, so that person nominates it again.

And then reviewers see the nomination and they aren't aware that there's any problem, so they approve it again.

And then some person sees it again and claim, "not again, this is an invalid wayspot" and request to remove it again.

There are several ways to break the loop:

Send a message to the person that sent the nomination, send a message to the reviewers that approved it, detect that there's again a nomination in the same place that a recently removed wayspot and review it and act accordingly (for example it might have been removed because the previous wayspot it's no longer there and they are nominating a new one, that's different than a "invalid zone" like schools, roundabouts, etc...)

Of course, by sending a message to the nominator that would allow them to appeal the removal knowing exactly why it has been removed and without having to find out about the forums.

And there might be many other interesting ideas to break these endless loops.

The very same reason why there's a mural on the side of someone's house is approved-and-rejected 20 times.

  • Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Pokéstop/Gym.
