Reporting abuse during reviewing or with the "form" results in no action taken towards the abuse, the abused POI's nor the abusees. This forces us users to use this forum to report abuse as this is the only "effective" way to get any results (despite Casey insisting the best way is the form).
The problem with this is that now anyone can see who reported the abuse and in many cases gets the reporter in trouble with the abusees, subjecting them to harassment, threats and getting banned from local servers.
Please provide an effective way to report abuse that actually works like it does here in the forum (or better).

We also need reports that we issue to be cc'd to us, the creator, so we can track our own reports. We also need follow-up to know if the report was reviewed or if more information is needed.
@NianticCasey-ING, as somebody who has reported with as much evidence as possible, the form does NOT work. I don't know if you can see discussions that are no longer visible to us, but despite your assurance to me here, https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/27836#Comment_27836 I can assure you that none of my abuse reports have been actioned against people (not even warnings) who committed abuse or Wayspots adjusted in over-saturated areas.
After seeing the ineptitude of handling this thread https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/12457/massive-systemic-abuse-discovered-in-st-cloud-florida-over-300-fake-abusive-portals-documented#latest and allowing personal threats, homophobic slurs, and admitting continued abuse to go unpunished, I have no reason to out myself in here to open the door to personal attacks.
You do know how easy it is to find out personal information and use intimidation tactics towards users. Eventually, this will lead to in person retaliation.
In total maybe put an Anonymous mode on the forum. Many players I know in Germany are using alt accounts to report abuse in fear of harrasment. I remembered the big "Fakes Dormagen" discussion, where multiple fakers and pro-fake people started to boost each other. Some fakers started to threathend me, some got warned.
The form in total has a lot of negative aspects. I waited for like 3 months for an obvious location edit. Still nothing happened. Did my location edit got rejected? We will never know. And thats super bad.
These aren't new issues either.
This is a long lasting problem. People have been asking for better ways to report abuse for a long time. Incidents of harassment on this forum come and go, and yet things remain the same.
I only hope our voices will be heard this time.
I have cases where the form worked, but the majority are either slow or not working.
It's not just the form, too. I reported multiple fakes with proofs that they are duplicates of real portals. And Niantic says less evidence just by looking at the fake photospheres. I have said a lot of times that the wayfarer abuse must be dealt swiftly, and now what. Abuse detected. Form, forum, ... and it is already late.
Thanks for the feedback folks, I am talking with the internal Niantic POC who manages the form to advocate for these changes, least of which is the anonymity option.
Although this form was originally intended to be a stop gap while the team worked to build this in the product, it has been active for too long and it looks like it is causing more problems than it is solving.
Wayfarer abuse in general is a big area that will need addressing from both the Wayfarer team as well as the team that handles these reports, and I've already started conversations around how we can better handle this situation.
