Insect hotels - are they valid?

The accepted answer @TheFarix-PGO was referring to.
Without an information sign, these are terrible submissions.
lol.
My city has a lot o native beehives (stingless) in parks and shoppings.
Some are already approved, but I'm strugglin with others. They have sign with info about the project and the species.
I guess the question you need to ask yourself. Is it dangerous enough for Niantic have to liability from bee stings. Can you 100% guarantee players will not be stung by a bee. Niantic says no live animals for POI's. I consider a bee's home apart of it. I wouldn't want a bear cave as a potential portal at a park, because bears can mess up people or **** them. That is my opinion.
I said they were stingless, and they are already in public area with a lot of people. Would the city hall risk people getting stung?
Also, we don't have bears or native stung bees in South America.
Well, I'm talking about my situation and giving my experience on my location. I don't live in the whole world and can't afford traveling so much. We don't have bug hotels here, just beehives, so I made my example and opinion about beehives.
However, at the same time if someone is allergic to bees it’s unlikely they would risk going near a waypoint that is a Bee Hive/Apiary. Also generally the types of bees kept in apiary are not aggressive as they are honey producing bees and would not swarm away from the apiary.
There would be no additional risk being within 10 meters of an apiary than being in your own back yard or a park. Bees are culturally important and very impressive insects. A lot of apiaries are decorated and painted artistically.
Typically those people carry a epipen.
And guidance has always been to walk up and touch it. 10m isn't touching.
Some people are allergic to flowers and such should we also ban community gardens? botanical gardens?
Some people are allergic to certain foods should we ban places that serve those foods?
10m was an example, and I was saying if someone is allergic they are not going to walk up to it because they know their risk. Me personally I would walk right up to an apiary.
I believe the educational sign about the beehives is a better candidate than the beehive itself.
I would agree if the apiary or other insect hotels have signage those would make better waypoints. However, I still believe an artistic apiary should be considered valid if there is no signage associated.
I wouldn't call suffering anaphylaxis an enjoyable food https://www.allergy.org.au/patients/food-allergy/allergic-and-toxic-reactions-to-seafood
And in the same way that a person that has seafood allergy would avoid going to such restaurants, I can bet that anyone that has allergic reaction to bee's venom will try to avoid going anywhere near an apiary. So we can conclude that the allergic reaction of a group of persons is not related at all to the accessibility of the wayspot and we should really forget about all of it.
In fact, it would be very useful for a person with allergy to bees to know upfront that there's an apiary 200m in that direction so that they can keep away from it. That's very useful and interesting information, so an upvote for insect houses from me!
The "Bees" would not be the waypoint the Apiary would be. Just like things are eligible at zoo's even though there are live animals there the live animals are not the Waypoints.
I absolutely love how you call me an "Ingress Player" to try to twist things and distort me as some villain.
Im level 12 in Ingress.
Im at 99.5 Million EXP in PoGo.
Know the difference before you again ATTACK people.
@Dice976jr-ING YOU’RE an Ingress Agent. You constantly post from your Ingress account. If you hate Ingress so much use your pogo log in.
No, you don't have to touch the wayspot.
First of all, you don't have to go anywhere that you don't want to. So if you don't like bees, you can stand away from that wayspot, there are lots of other places to play.
Even if you want to play there, you can stand at least 20 m. away.
Niantic has never said anything related to allergies at all, that would be a terrible statement to make: if they said "don't approve this due to this kind of allergy" then they could be sued if anyone has any other kind of allergic reaction by playing in any other wayspot because they were aware that people might have problems but didn't take care of removing all the potential hazardous wayspots for all kind of allergies.
So if you want to argue that it's not valid because it's not interesting, then OK, but you just have to read this post to learn the current position by Niantic: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/5046/#Comment_5046
Yes, I used the Ingress Forum as did you. So when the forum transitioned instead of using a different name. I went with the name I am already known by. My PoGo and Ingress accounts are not linked and I didnt want to log in using a different name that people didnt already know. Looks like you did the same by staying with a -ING login.
No, you have to be able to reach out and touch it.
Despite all the time that has passed, I've touched very few of the wayspots where I've played, very very few. And most of the times I might stand 5-10 meters away from it.
@NianticCasey-ING can you close this thread. The OP has already been answered and you youself selected the best answer. There is no need for it to continue on irreverent tangents.
This thread has an answer accepted by Niantic. It should be closed.
I dont see where niantic selected it. Sorry. Maybe someone can chime in?
