The wayspot is a mural on Tujunga Wash wall; one of many murals, in fact. All the murals, including this one, are painted on the west wall, not on the east wall.

Here's a view of the west wall from Coldwater Canyon, which shows this mural and others next to it:

And here's a view of the east wall from Lancer Lane, which shows no murals at all:

All this can be clearly seen from Google Street View.

The width of Tujunga Wash in this area is about 21 meters/70 feet (also can be seen on Google Street View), which is way more than just a few feet off:

The portal used to be called Great Wall of Los Angeles 22, but is now called GWLA: Great Depression. I am sure you have records of renaming, but just in case I have an old attack email that shows the old name and the coordinates that point to GWLA: Great Depression:
