Anyway, the criteria now states:
"Nominations whose real-world location appears to obstruct the driveways of emergency services.
This includes anywhere that may interfere with the operations of fire stations, police stations, hospitals, military bases, industrial sites, power plants, or air traffic control towers."
It doesn't exclusively state to outright reject anything in a hospital and communal areas, such as cafes, reception areas, hospital gardens aren't locations that would interfere with an operation or an accident and emergency department.
Bars and pubs have nothing to do with this discussion.
The criteria clearly states that nominations that might block emergency service driveways or may interfere with operations aren't allowed. Nominations in communal areas do not interfere with operations or block driveways. Either way, I'm sure reviewers use their best judgement anyway.
It does. We very buildings as one floor plan in games. Just because you feel one area doesn't have anything to do with operations it still does. Anything in hospital is a no.
Not all hospitals have multiple floors. The hospital I attended for chemotherapy this year is several buildings, that span a huge parcel of land. A lot of those buildings, such as the oncology unit, are single floor buildings.
The one floor isn't cause to reject, the other floors are cause to accept. Instead of worrying about a horde trying to get to a raid, think about the people that are spending time in the hospital and how it would be nice to be able to play. A Wayspot isn't an invitation to trespass everywhere there is a Wayspot, you have to assume that players use common sense.
Wayfarer help says hospital candidates are eligible if they do not interfere with operations or block emergency services. This is the current guidance, older guidance that contradicts this is now invalid.
New guidance on hospitals has invalidated the old guidance anyway, I think.
From what I've seen, many PoGo communities have an unwritten rule about not raiding in certain locations anyway, including hospitals.
I agree that we do have to trust that players would use their common sense.
