I just wish we could see those edits on wayfarer like we can nominations. For me I struggle to keep track of what I’ve edited. I use my account to make edits all over a large radius of about 60 miles on all sides from where I live so sometimes I struggle to remember what I have & haven’t edited & find myself filtering through my emails to search & figure out what I have & haven’t edited. I do agree though. It would be beneficial to be able to upgrade them & also know what happens with them as well. I know we aren’t supposed to be left in the dark but it feels that way with edits. They will fix this for sure; if you can’t upgrade them, I’m sure you will be able to see progress. It’s just a matter of time
@NianticCasey-ING Hi, how is it possible that lately every 5/10 evaluations I am banned temporarily? I went from being a very good evaluator to a poor one..please resolve this bug
@NianticCasey-ING said this on the Road to Rediscovery forum relating to this topic; Improvements to the review experience - We also know the reviews can feel onerous and sometimes confusing and frustrating. We want to do better for you and are holistically exploring options here. For example, we could consider a more customizable experience so that you can do as much or as little as you’d like, while making our policing mechanisms a little less disruptive.
I can not believe how many fake picture s that get through 7 King George post boxes that are Queen Elizabeth in my location, plus trailer markers that don't come anywhere near to were they are submitted
Watermarks on photographs, the photograph is owned by someone or some entity. Using it without permission is prohibited. Basically it's a photographers way to protect his or her work, as well as get paid for someone using it.
I'm new to this. Thank you for the invite to join. I'm still learning. I reviewed one yesterday, the picture was odd to me it showed little of the structure and more of the grass around it. So I googled them. Found them on FB. The submitter called it a Patio and Pavilion, their FB page those two words didn't exist. They are an Ice House. A good place to grab a beer or setups if you bring your own alcohol. I also found a Magic Tree. Yes that was the title. It was just a tree on private property. Most likely by the fencing in the picture, it was someone's backyard. I live in a rural area, a small subdivision. All we have is the occasional church or graveyard. There is a need for pokestops out in the country. My nearest is a mile and a half away, then after that it's another 25 minute drive to the next one. More and more people are fleeing the city and moving out here to larger subdivisions. There's one a few miles away that will have over 400 homes once it is finished. That's just one but that's alot of Pokemon Go players. The only thing we have unique is the brick and stone subdivision sign. No parks, no walking trails, no ponds. Just a bunch of single family dwellings, packed into the area. Any suggestions, other than drive the 30,40 minutes to town. Which younger players can't do.
I have always been rejecting nominations that have Device Watermark on them, which to me also feels the same as tagging of sorts. Am I correct for doing so or do I need to change this pattern?
@gulkandkush-PGO You’re correct. All watermark are supposed to be rejected. It is a form of tagging. Submitters can turn off the watermark in their device settings
Fingers crossed this feature is added soon because it really would be beneficial to all of us. I would love to be able to login & see my edits instead of having to use my email to try to figure out what I have & haven’t edited. They could label edits with an edit tag if needed or even create another folder within the wayfarer website
Reviewers in Japan are very strange. They do not follow the rules, and often make up their own rules for what is acceptable and not. I wish Niantic would do something about community hive-mind, because it makes it very difficult to get things accepted.
For example, in Japan, my nominations recently:
A historical commemorative plaque from 1974 - DENIED (I guess it's too small or not artistic enough for Japan)
A car bridge with no sidewalk which I nominated as a joke and wanted to get denied - ACCEPTED (Bridges should have been an easy thing to reject)
A public park which is labeled on Google Maps, visible from street view and satellite view - DENIED (the entrance sign is not large enough or something, I don't know...)
That is the problem since OPR became Wayfarer and was opened for PoGo-players. And we can't do anything against it, but also Niantic can't really do anything against it...
I think it's been a problem in Japan since long before PoGo, but absolutely, Niantic COULD try harder:
More AMAs and rule clarifications, more often, and translated into other languages
Better, more clear translations. For example, in Japanese right now the reject reasons say to reject all farms including community gardens (not just private farms), as well as to reject any "residence" which leads a lot of people to reject anything near an apartment or tower mansion, simply because "people live there" - the whole nuance of "single family, detached house" was kind of lost.
Significantly more honeypots. Niantic should hand-review a wide variety of real nominations, both valid and rejects, and include an ever-rotating sample of honeypots. People who review against the rules but with the hive-mind can and should be shown how and why the things they're voting for are wrong. When you vote wrong on a honeypot, it should immediately tell you why, instead of just secretly hurting your rating, so that you can learn from your mistakes. Obviously repeatedly getting things wrong should eventually remove you from the pool or reviewers at some point.
Hello! My name is RadWolf91BP, I have a question for anyone.
In my village, there are no interesting points, only are 1 monument, the town hall, sports pitch and no more I think, so, I am interested in promoting as wayspot some shops, some benches or something like a place where people go to play with dogs (without billboard).
How can I ask for these wayspots? (I put my village in URL)
Larger areas like dog parks or sports fields make great Wayspots, but it is important to choose the right placement of the Wayspot that respects the activity it was designed to support.
Wayspots within Large Areas
Wayspots within large areas like parks, plazas, and fields are eligible as well, even if the larger area itself is a Wayspot.
I am already level 38 @Rodensteiner-PGO . I know how to promote wayspots, the ask for was, "How can I write the wayspot in my village where there aren't monuments or billboards?".
Some people said me that wayspots without billboard usually been declined.
@RadWolf91BP-PGO you can submit anything you think would be a wayspot. it doesnt need to have a "billboard".
it helps if something also has a billboard, just make a photo with both things on it. you can DM me your location and i will look up what things would be good and what you should submit.

I would think any watermark is changing the object in the picture and isn't thus a true representation of the waypoint.

ナインアンテックのバグは、ゲーム中でも多すぎます。
それに対する対価は、とても乏しい。
もう少し、しっかりしてほしい。

i am still astonished that all of those french submissions that i got ( i am in germany ) are VALID and not fake.
There needs to be a harder punishment for those who produce continously bad submissions and fake stuff.
日本でも、スポットが適切でない場所、適切であるのに、承認されない場所が沢山あります。
都会では沢山スポットがあっても、田舎にはスポットが全くなく、バトルやレイドも出来ません。
不公平を無くして欲しいです。

They are basically forbidden as well because while reviewing we can’t figure out who took the picture
I'm new to this. I've been a reviewer for about a week. I just found this area after a few days.

Correct, 1* -> Watermarked
Thats a Top Idea for making Wayfarer better 👍🏻

Am I missing a link to the resource library? Can someone post the link please.
I find difficult to locate information in threads and discussion forums...must admit never liked them and didn't participate in many...

The wayfarer political for these places is:
Placemarkers for Large Areas
Larger areas like dog parks or sports fields make great Wayspots, but it is important to choose the right placement of the Wayspot that respects the activity it was designed to support.
Wayspots within Large Areas
Wayspots within large areas like parks, plazas, and fields are eligible as well, even if the larger area itself is a Wayspot.
Thanks for everything!
you need to be lvl 38 in pgo to access the feature. what level are you @RadWolf91BP-PGO
