Title of the Wayspot: Детская площадка
Location: 54.728358, 20.533043
City: Kaliningrad
Country: Russia
Screenshot of the Rejection Email:
This playground portal (intel link: https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=54.728632,20.534661&z=20&pll=54.728632,20.534661) had a proper location before it's last movement. There are several street views around which can be used to confirm original location. E.g. this one: https://www.google.com/maps/@54.7285538,20.5333462,3a,75y,140h,90t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sAF1QipP0bI-2jzMYd0ZuvTwELudc5aJ3-2yqARiLjG1M!2e10
You can find it there:
Please, move it back and take any needed actions to prevent such malicious moves from OPR abusers.
Thank you.

OK. Portal moved back finally (I can just suppose it happened due to other agents requests). But your (Niantic support) investigation is still needed. Thank you.
Your portal link doesn't lead to anything.
It seems it got back to place, why it was moved? Maybe because of cell rule? Or to duplicate gyms? PoGOs players move things around a lot, this could be the answer. But happy to know it moved back to the original location.
Also nice photo-sphere.
Thank you) Seems link became invalid after portal moved back :/
I'm nearly sure some PoGo community members involved. But who knows may be just an unfair try from opposite side when valid in-game rules and possibilities doesn't help. That's one of the reasons I want Niantic to investigate such issues to prevent people doing wrong things.
Don't get me wrong, I also want Niantic to investigate the players but we don't know if they have a log of edits, from before than after and then, the edit that bring the POI back to place. Therefore, this could lead to flagging the player who fixed the location wrongly. This is what I meant, sorry about the misunderstand.
I know how it can be. But this case is really intentional. Two portals from two different points being moved to ONE another point. Moreover I've just heard agents see OPR requests for both portals movement again. Somebody is trying to repeat his trick...
Yes. It jumped again at wrong point due to somebody's request I mentioned above despite of some reviewers I know have chosen write place while revewing it...
Current wrong place is:
54°43'42.8"N 20°32'04.7"E (https://goo.gl/maps/4nVVs16wEnaBRHUH8)
Please move it back at right position and forbid any changes from abusers side. Thank you.
@NianticKN-ING Your great help here is really appreciated.
Torpedo my friend, this is getting almost the same as they did in my area, besides you're being small edits, here they moved 500m away.
Anyway, where should it be moved? Can you make a print screen of the intel map and maybe tell where it should be the correct location?
It's kinda hard to hell from only seeing your map locations, basically you're only telling where it is wrong and they are moving to the wrong location, so.. I'm only saying that because from looking your photo-sphere, it looks like the portal is place in the correct location.
The biggest issue I see here is the plaza playground, being in the center of the apartment complex, people submitted every equipment as one portal, imo it should have been submitted as a group of. It's complicated to tell where the correct location is based on photo-spheres in the middle of it, like this.
Appeal Accepted- Thanks for the appeal, Agent. We gave this a second look and decided to move the Portal to its correct location.
After several hours I can see no any changes. Portal is still at wrong place. Right one as mentioned in first message has location: 54.728358, 20.533043
Without preventing moves and punishing abusers they'll still have more possibilities in comparison with Niantic officials as I see.
Hi folks, adding a little more context here. Any time we do find abuse like this, we also take backend abuse actions against users that we find to be abusing components of Wayfarer.
Please don't assume that, just because we don't say something doesn't mean we're not taking actions to make Wayfarer a better program.
Hey Casey only 1 question more, do you guys a backlog of last locations of a portal? Sometimes the same player tend to ask edit locations to the same location over and over again, probably the situations that @torpedko-ING had to deal with. And I dealing myself too.
Thanks for the feedback regarding this one tho! :)
@NianticCasey-ING I understand you are dealing with a lot of issues. Would it be possible for your team to consider regularly communicating with the community about the actions you took? It may seem unfair to you when players complain, but I feel both parties can benefit from more transparency.
Please take a moment to read my thread about a bad actor who to this day moves portals into his home and office.
I have to spend hours driving around to said locations, request a location edit via the game client, take photos, create a photo sphere, wait for the inevitable rejection email, which I will then use to post an appeal on the forums. This is draining the fun out of the game. Cheaters get to do whatever they want without fear of any form of penalty. Now tell me you're taking actions.
BTW I didn't say thank you at once for this clarification. And I want to say it finally)
It's important for us to know your investigation works this way and additional actions following if needed. Thank you.
Just for your information everybody, I can confirm it by my own)
I've got a warning message for this wayspot move back try! (correct one, location edit, described in this appeal or close to). I've created it before @NianticCasey-ING resolution (just another try after portal jumped again). But I've got this edit response already after appeal confirmation:
And I've another mail nearly at once:
@NianticCasey-ING It looks funny to receive such warnings related to my own appeals. But I just hope no any negative effects for me can follow for nothing really).
I like this,
