I wasn't so lucky, my upgrade got rejected 🙃
Thanks for the follow-up comments! I see for some users this issue has been resolved. Just letting you know, our team has performed a fix for this issue recently, please check and let me know if this is still happening for you guys. I'll be keeping an eye.
Just checking, are you aware of the 2nd issue that was part of this bug today? And that it was more widespread than when this was initially created?
Hey-ya, just so you know, this has not been fixed! Please come back and fix a nomination of mine that had the Supporting text reverted back to the originally provided "filler" text.
Hi @Roli112-PGO and @Gendgi-PGO! We are investigating other issues you've flagged as well. I would appreciate your patience while we're on it.
See, actually acknowledging an issue isn't so hard, is it? Why no "day shift" response?
Unfortunately this is definitely not resolved as of Thursday morning, as submissions have gone into voting having reverted to filler text used at the time of submission.
Of a number of submissions I made last week, through Ingress, all of them have reverted back to the text I used to submit them whilst out along a trail, and I have lost all edits made to Title, Description, and Supporting information field edits that I made to provide accurate and informative descriptions. 5 of my submissions from last Wednesday (10th May) have reverted back to the filler submission text used, despite me editing them all carefully within a couple of hours of submitting them.
This morning I have already seen people on social media wayfarer groups advocating to 1* these submissions under description, when the issue with the submission text is not down to their laziness or carelessness, but down to a wayfarer system error.
At least I used vaguely relevant filler text for my submissions. Whilst I have been able now to fully edit the submissions still in queue, the 5 that have already gone into voting are at risk of immediate rejection for basic spelling errors and lack of information. I feel really bad for people who have been commonly using filler text like "to do" or "complete at home", and have now had this backfire on them through no fault of their own
.
@NianticGiffard What about users who earned an upgrade during the window the Supporting Text was removed and then subsequently had that rejected due to lack of supporting detail.
I had a nomination get upgraded and denied within the window that no supporting details were shown. The supporting details were extremely important to the nomination. So now I am out the nomination and the upgrade because of a massive BUG on the wayfarer side.
At the very least, people in this situation should have their nominations put back into voting. In an ideal scenario, Niantic themselves would deal with reviewing them without them going back into voting, and manually approve those that meet the criteria, though with the amount of stuff that's gone wrong lately, I imagine they've already got too much on their plates as it is.
I am fine with it being opened and upgraded and rereviewed. The item is not on Satelite and my supporting details explained how to validate location based on the community center that is on Satelite.
Hi folks,
Just wanted to provide an update here: the issue with supporting text been isolated and a fix is in progress but likely won't be fully complete until tomorrow (May 21).
We're also investigating what options are available for anyone whose nomination was rejected due to the complications introduced by this issue. Keep your eye on this post for more information once the Wayfarer team has landed on a plan.
Thanks for your patience.
最近審査をしているとなぜか候補地に対しての補足情報が表示されないことが多々あり審査するための貴重な候補が見えないのはとても問題であるので至急修正が必要だ
Hi @pk4r-PGO, thank you for reaching out! I've merged your post with a related thread for visibility. Please refer to Casey's post for updates.
in our part of the world it is already the 24th of May.

Any feedback yet on users who had Nominations get upgraded and rejected within the missing supplemental information.
My nomination Imagery Pool Pergola was upgraded and rejected within the window of the bug. The supplemental details helped clarify the location of the nomination as the satellite on google maps is outdated. This information was critically important to the nominations success.
Please either put the nomination back in queue and upgrade the nomination or refund the nomination and provide a new upgrade. I work very hard to earn upgrades and its a shame to see one wasted due to a bug that affected so many users.
This needs to be addressed ASAP.

I too am seeing this. Some of my nominations which have been submitted within the Pokemon GO app and then edited on a PC have had the suplemental information disappear. Concerned that the submissions will be rejected due to this as reviewers will not be able to judge nomination effectively.
The matter that was presented in this bug report was a temporary glitch caused by untested backend system updates. The visual glitch you experience can usually be fixed by logging out of Wayfarer and logging back in.
Thank you for clarifying. Have logged in again and can see the suplimental information again.
Glad it worried!
(I do wish @NianticTintino or @NianticGiffard would circle back on the literal hundreds of outstanding bug reports and close out or reply to them)
I was just thinking about this earlier. It’s true. I agree. There’s a lot of work that needs to get done
