I can't help but feel that Niantic is making a huge mistake by not having a submission test. I get the blind squirrel concept but those nuts are lost in a giant backlog.
@SlicedPeas-ING A submission test won't work. People will just cheat by using YouTube videos, not learn anything, and nothing will change. Even if they did vaguely learn the criteria once nobody would keep up with changes. What will work much better is giving people on-screen guidance with criteria information during the submission workflow, as well as asking some questions about major disqualifiers like PRP.
Hi guys, just sharing a quick update with you all! We have reviewed the report and have taken action on 92 Wayfinders in accordance with our policies. While we are unable to discuss our actions in detail to protect the submitter’s privacy, they may include, but are not limited to, sending a warning message, placing restrictions on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO, or Ingress account, putting their account on probation, or placing a temporary or permanent suspension on their Wayfarer, Pokémon GO or Ingress account.
Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
It is against Wayfarer policy to nominations does not meet our criteria just because pogo player want a pokestop in player's house.
However, there is also a problem with the reviewers posting here. Uploading review session screenshot close to house on this discussion is not considerate of privacy. It may identify the nomination or the person who lives there.
Niantic should deal with both of these issues. I think it would be better to delete the photos posted here.
I also think that reviewers should not upload review session screenshot easily. Reviewers should consider about privacy when posting here.
I'm also waiting about the abuse form posted by @NianticCasey-INGhere. With this, there is no need to post in this discussion.
Sorry, but it's not us that showed home adress of this nominations, it was submitter that did it first. When they choose nomination location on they home, they just put they adress in Wayfarer for every reviewer that will get they nomination to see. We just post here exaples how people abuse system just to get home POI, they adress were known to other people that got it to review too.
Thanks to this thread many people that make abuse nominations like that were punished, and one of required information to get them puinished is post location of which this nomination was made - with this Niantic can find it in database. As you see, Niantic's workers regulary check this thread and punish bad submitters like that (some just get warnings, but if someone make nominations like that again and again, it will be punished). You might not like it, but until system won't be changed, it's the most convinent and most efficient way to report these abusers.
I quoted for you recent post of NianticGiffard that replied in this thread to screenshots we post here. As you see our posting screenshots there isn't considered a problem, it's the opposite:
However, the Inadahime Shrine does not actually exist in this location.
Sadly, the lantern is located in a "private house that doubles as a stone shop". The real Inadahime Shrine is more than 250m away from this house, across the road to the northwest.
And another. It would be just normal "Natural Feature" rejection that don't match this thread, but someone put location of these trees on they multi-family building. So, definetly home-POI. And there is at least one close POI to it that seems to be reachable from this place, someone must think one POI is not enough..
Comments
It's a pillow(まくら).
A dog figurine placed on top of the outdoor air conditioning unit. Of course, this property is a private house.
I really do applaud the effort that went into the description and supporting info, but....
@Hosette-ING
I saw that lamppost myself.

Yep, it's a fridge. And I won't hide location of it, as submitter wanted it to be known so much, it was even put in support text...

Appreciate the update!
This looked like just a garbage candidate until I saw the pin was placed on a cliff just behind someone's house.
Also, this thread: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/18051/sollte-dies-kein-pokostop-werden#
Great description, makes it so easy to reject lol
It's baaaack..... (I already rejected one of this place last week)
Thank you! I'll keep on posting, here is another...
From Kawamata Town, Fukushima Prefecture. First of all, a typical home application.
This is a false application for an unrelated fence at a distance, with a pin position at home.
Also from Okayama prefecture. The capture description is a pattern that pretends that there are few common spots.
This user needs banned from submitting
