Hi there,
Great question, I'm happy to let you know that we just made a change so that you should be able to update your Hometown location to participate in the Russia Wayfarer Challenge.
@I4mGro0T-ING, I have also reset your Bonus location.
So how do I change my bonus location, and will I be able to change it afterwards? I'm sorry, I've not done one of these events before, so my questions may appear obtuse.

I thought that was for Hometown Location. I don't want to change my Hometown. My Bonus location shows it cannot be changed until October. I've already looked in every other post in this event thread for process documentation. I'm hoping @NianticCasey-ING can help me out.

Solamente las ubicación natal, en cualquier tiempo antes o durante el evento.

Así es. Yo superior ponerla un lugar más l menos de distancia a tu verdadera locación, ya que el sistema te dará nominaciones en tu área donde juegas de todas maneras.
Yo soy de Argentina, dónde sugieres ponerla? En otro país de Latinoamérica?
No tiene que ser otro país, no mas no muy cercano a tu ubicación. Cualquier lugar que quieras ayudar.

Hi @NianticCasey-ING i've changed my Bonus Location to Russia, that should be enough to participate in the Wayfarer Event, correct?

I took a look at your account and can see it has already been reset. Also to participate in the Russia Wayfarer Challenge you only need to reset your Hometown location to Russia.

@NianticCasey-ING I really messed up and put my Bonus location in a rural spot in Russia and I've only gotten 1 Russian submission in 2 hrs voting. Can you please reset me? Thanks!
This even requires you to set your hometown to the event area, not your bonus location.

Niantic does not reset bonus locations, they did so only for those that participated in the India event and never got it reset afterwards.
