first hello
how is it possible that a nomination are rejected as (reason temporarily sign )
every good opservation can see , this is a sign posted by the township itself
see pict https://ibb.co/0yybPMg
https://ibb.co/s5Mrycx
especially people who live in the netherlands and nominate .
I think that only people can nominate wayspot in there own country's .
Thanks
So a tree and a sign and a forest from above... that makes things likely to exist? Pretty naive considering how much non existent **** that show up. Areas with ok density should have higher demands on submissions I think
Or they just weren’t in the correct location & got scanned enough times to prove it, therefore allowing Niantic to remove them. If they are real, I recommend just resubmitting them in the correct real world location
If they’re proven to be incorrect the best assumption is that they will. Is there proof that they don’t? I have seen many complaints of stops being removed after being scanned & in the wrong location. If I worked for Niantic & noticed a scan was way off, I’d remove it too. If they don’t remove stops ever at all, so be it but I highly doubt it
Niantic has sad they don't view at scans for anything other than its intended purpose. Which is the reason you see many people in appeals asking "why didnt you remove it, i scanned it". I have also seen evidence of a missing POI scanned over 50 times and still remained in game.
I have to see things to believe it. I’m not doubting but I just would expect scans to help them see the area without us, you know. It seems like in larger cities especially things get submitted & then edited & moved & a scan could only help Niantic see that. When I say I have to see it to believe it I mean physically in person because I know better. I’ve worked with computers a long time. I even went to college for it. That would be someone’s job just to review these things. They wouldn’t be for nothing. Regardless of what was previously said in no way am I being mean. But I just don’t believe it; at all
@WheelTrekker-ING I have zero intentions & I felt as if the way the question was asked that it could instigate into an argument & it isn’t worth it. Not an argument with me but probably between others. I was only giving my opinion. I am only one person but I am the type of person that has to physically see things to believe them. So without proof that I can see, I just can’t believe it. I know that it was said that scans are compiled to generate accurate, dynamic 3-D maps of real-world objects, improving Niantics understanding of how virtual objects persist, how they’re grounded in specific locations & where they are in relation to each other but I just feel as if they are used for more & without actually seeing & knowing otherwise I can’t believe it. I don’t work for Niantic so I can’t give you the truth. Either way it really doesn’t matter because even in game scans are basically useless. For now we can just choose to believe that they don’t remove POI & go with it. The truth will never be known because we can’t see images behind the scenes that employees are seeing. I just hope that they aren’t used for that purpose, but if they are it really doesn’t matter. We can always resubmit if the POI was legit
So three times @NianticCasey-ING directly refuted the claims that scans had any affect on Wayspot removal. If a Wayspot was removed after being scanned, it was more likely reported as invalid by one of the players since the scanning task brings more attention to a Wayspot in general.
P.S. Also, I find it funny that you claim that you won't believe something until you see it, but then spout of some nonsense that has absolutely no evidence whatsoever to support it.
@TheFarix-PGO I’ve seen where you have caused a lot of drama within the forums so I have no reason to reply back. I never said anything that had no evidence. I completely quoted Casey. I have no means to chat with you or anyone wanting to argue. I really don’t think it’s the place for that or to act like you are King of Wayfarer. Let’s drop the drama
I do have to see things to believe them, it’s easier to say “we don’t do that” to not upset those of us who are here. I have seen where users have scanned POI & then they have gotten removed. I “know” they could have been edited but it just doesn’t add up. Nobody submits anything in these places so why would they edit these POI? It just doesn’t make sense. It would be a lot easier to have users scan locations & have someone just double checking these locations at the same time as they are fixing/editing the system. The games use some of the same software. Just an opinion again but it’s free work. All companies with mobile games are all for free work. That’s how POI are created, through free labor so why not? I said I am only one person because I don’t need to use multiple accounts to follow behind & like my own comments like some here are to boost their account ranking & to make others look bad. It’s okay. When there’s no one here to like content because of players doing that Niantic will ban those who are. Scanning may not remove POI but who’s to say it won’t in the future. This is not the place for drama. We are here to help fix the platform together not tear users apart. If someone is just stating their opinion in no way shape or form should anyone try to destroy that persons reputation. Save the battling for the games. Keep it friendly
I didn’t state Fake News. Let’s drop the drama. It is not the place. Take it elsewhere. Go talk bad on discord or Facebook or something, don’t do it here. All I did was state my opinion. I never said that scanning technically removed POI, I just said that if Niantic wanted to they could remove POI easily through scanning. It’s all linked together. Especially if they use satellite view, street view, etc & then compare scans
I do think though that Niantic does need to punish those who are bullying others & using wayfarer & discord etc to conspire to create drama when someone says something that they don’t like or agree with. I like content even when I don’t even agree. This community was created for us to work together, not for us to act as vultures & rip one another apart. Just because you don’t agree with somebody doesn’t mean that you should try to **** them in any way. All I said was that if a POI was scanned enough times that it could trigger it as being in the incorrect location & therefore need removed. I never technically said that it would be removed: I said that it could. It could also give them a wider view where they could see that a POI is in the wrong location. I feel like there are a number of you who have submitted things in the wrong locations & that is why there is worry for them being scanned. Who cares whether they’re scanned or not. It’s just a game at the end of the day. In my opinion scanning is a waste of time. There is a lot more that can be done. I never scan. If a POI is deliberately incorrect I will move it though. I play Ingress as well. I’m done commenting about this. It’s a waste of time
@TheZodiac007-PGO You are 100% right, they could easily remove POI through scanning. But... who’s to say they will? @NianticCasey-ING says they’re not so let’s just agree to disagree & try our best to believe Casey’s words

Weelll... thats one of the reasons there are too many fakes around, and so many appeals to remove in this forum
So a tree and a sign and a forest from above... that makes things likely to exist? Pretty naive considering how much non existent **** that show up. Areas with ok density should have higher demands on submissions I think
that is what niantic asks you to. if you want to have it your own way, you are welcome to vote in your own way.
@NianticCasey-ING you'd better to explain this!!
Might wanna comment in this bug thread as well:
I would like to see the official position on detailed guidelines more often.
Unfortunately, that's the problem. Niantic doesn't know how does their algorithm work.
@NianticCasey-ING Hi)) Now june))
Hi Niantic,
Since your update we lost a lot of legit pokestop in our village. Here it's no longer possible to play!
How can we change that? Submit back our stop?
The "update" didn't remove any "pokestops" if they were removed was because they were reported removed, invalid or abusive.
Or they just weren’t in the correct location & got scanned enough times to prove it, therefore allowing Niantic to remove them. If they are real, I recommend just resubmitting them in the correct real world location
SCANS DO NOT REMOVE POKESTOPS!!!
If they’re proven to be incorrect the best assumption is that they will. Is there proof that they don’t? More than likely though. I assume this could be something to do with cells
Niantic has sad they don't view at scans for anything other than its intended purpose. Which is the reason you see many people in appeals asking "why didnt you remove it, i scanned it". I have also seen evidence of a missing POI scanned over 50 times and still remained in game.
Scanning gets Wayspots removed? 🤔 - Page 2 — Wayfarer (nianticlabs.com)
Casey stated that they don't remove PoI based on scans.
Why do you doubt their words?

I submitted a pokestop nomination and up until now their is no response. I’m on level 40 Roline02. I will appreciate if it can be considered.

Sorry your comment got covered up
So according to this:
I am only one person but I am the type of person that has to physically see things to believe them.
You've seen a PoI removed after it was scanned, and without anyone requesting its removal.
Is it right?
If you haven't personally witnessed that, then you're choosing what do you prefer to believe in.
