Extended goal reached!

As the title says, we've already smashed the extended goal of 7000 new Wayspots in Russia. Good going, everyone!
When we hit the previous goal of 3000, we as a community were cheeky and asked for extended rewards, and to Niantic's credit, they set us the extended goal with double rewards. So, in the spirit of the previous post, I was thinking 10,000 new wayspots seems like a reasonable target. It would be nice if we got some extra goodies if we reach it. Is the team feeling up to being generous @NianticCasey-ING @NianticGiffard?
20 Upgrades? :D
I dont see why not 😂
Yes! Many reviewers have more than 10 waiting, for months - some from 2020.
To control the flow, Niantic could release one upgrade per day for 15-20 days. Then people could upgrade what they want first.
the hard truth is here, with the system selecting something randomly for the upgrades, i do not think having more than 10 or 20 upgrades that are put on "risky" candidates isnt really helping.
i would encourage Niantic to not extend the Bonus, but they should just give us a surprise on the 18th.
As I suggested above, Niantic could release one upgrade per day for 20 days. Then, each day you could select which of your outstanding nominations you want upgraded next. Also, that would keep upgraded nominations from swamping the system all at once.
Many people have dozens of nominations waiting months and years, and would be thrilled to have them come through! Just because you have "risky candidates", doesn't mean everyone does. @rodensteiner-ING
Ehm you have the choise:
Waiting on something risky vs. Upgrading and not waiting on something risky.
I take the upgrades.
Upgrade and availabilty to store update for later use.... I know, still a long road to that
id rather have people from "here" reviewing my subs. But hey, it is okay if Niantic decides to drop an upgrade onto a waymarker on marked trail.
