These aren’t all fakes; most posted here are actually at someone’s house or at a private residence or anywhere else that a POI shouldn’t be. Fakes just get thrown in as well though because they’re honestly even worse than a POI at a private residence because sometimes they can be near impossible to notice on Wayfarer & normally be something that would meet criteria as being an eligible POI. A lot of times they get noticed once they’ve already been accepted & have to get removed that way which is a nightmare of a process to be honest. @LukeAllStars-PGO has a lot of experience with it & It’s not uncommon for players to fake submissions trying to get a pokestop near them or somewhere they frequently travel. A lot of times a fake will be a photo of a photo but sometimes it will be of something taken somewhere else entirely & be submitted at a place that it isn’t even at. I have noticed that normally they will attempt to submit POI like this even more often in places that Google Street View isn’t available but sometimes they will attempt in plain site. It all depends & you have to make sure to check map views & verify that submitted POI is actually in the correct location, etc & take your time while reviewing. Some photos posted here are just things that clearly don’t meet criteria. This thread is basically just where most of us are posting the worst things that we see while reviewing; if you see the same things while reviewing feel free to like/insightful the post of what is posted or even say you saw it as well. I just wish we could get “Agreements” for these. Regardless this is just something to do & nothing more. Basically just an attempt to better the platform in any small way we can
I have reviewed this application many times (often with slightly different photos, but otherwise the same). This is a reservoir and is not accessible to the public. This seems to be an attack on the judges.
I keep getting the same nomination to review. So far seen it 4 times. It is a stuffed Diglett placed in a small rock garden and the satellite image clearly shows it in a backyard. Don't know if it is the same nomination and I keep getting it or they just keep submitting it. I keep rejecting it as a fake nomination.
This wayspot is not someone my house, but it's on a military base site that is specified in the Rejection criteria, but I got an application for it, and I Live'd it yesterday with a bad review.
Isn't the act of a new player applying for a spot that is specified in these Rejection criteria, and getting it approved by the reviewers, abusive?

This is a splendid torii gate, but it is located in a private house.
An ornament on the wall of a private house.
A clock in a private house. I can't see it on Street View, so it may be a fake designation.
Just a river. It may have been applied for by a private house on the other side.

I know this is a serious "job" and it's irritating to see fakes but I'm personally jealous.... these are hilarious and I've never had a fake before!
I’m just seeing the trampoline. This one needs removed in game. That is definitely on private property

What even is this one. I covered eyes. Rest is covered by a mask. It’s weird that they’re wearing one if it is their home.

Well, since you're not even going to be subtle about it it's going to be gard for me to approve it.

Happy pride month? /s
It looks like an owl placed in front of a house.
It's just an apartment complex.
A dog figurine in the garden.
This is also supposed to be a garden lantern.
The application is for a park, but the location is a private house.
This is just a stone placed in an apartment.
"A place", "a place" (with a typo), "a place".
I mean, technically they're not wrong.

Not the sharpest pencil in the box.

We can keep an eye out for it
