Non-event Pokestop disappeared after a local event (Portal still exists)
Title of the Wayspot: WBNA Bocce Courts
Location: 41.815433,-71.432316
City: Providence, RI
Country: USA
Supporting Info and Photos:
A local event added some Pokestops and a Gym to a park, the red circle highlights 2 Pokestops, one is a sponsored event Pokestop (with white ring), one is an existing Pokestop before the event and the Pokestop in question:
Photo for the event Pokestops/Gym:
After the event, the existing NON-EVENT Pokestop in the red circle is also gone:
But the corresponding Portal still exists (so cannot nominate it again):
Please help us restore the Pokestop (NOT the wayspot, because apparently the wayspot is still there). Thank you!

Sorry that I'm new to the forum. Can anyone give me some idea on whether I should expect any response with this post? Thanks!
Thanks for the appeal, Trainer. We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. While we are not able to fulfill your request to add back this location at this time, we recognize the disappointment this may have caused and hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.
Thanks for your response. But...
I'm not requesting for adding back a wayspot, because the wayspot still exists! (The Ingress portal is still there) The corresponding Pokestop was mistakenly removed, due to a DIFFERENT event Pokestop was too close to it.
Because of this mistake, there is no way for players to nominate the Pokestop to go through Wayfarer again. As again, the wayspot is still there. But the Pokestop will not show up.
I'm writing here only because I feel like there is nothing a player can do about it, but it was not supposed to happen.
I just checked on the Intel Map. The portal is there and there is no reason for it to not show up in Pokémon GO. Also, this Wayspot is eligible. I see no reason to remove it in Pokémon, but not in Ingress.
@NianticGiffard from a distant point of view, I would like to support the author of this thread and ask you kindly to look over this issue again. Many thanks!
+1
@NianticGiffard I concur with others in this thread and ask you to reconsider.
Either there was a bug/mistake and the Pokéstop should simply be reinstated, or there was a currently unknown reason to remove the Pokéstop (e.g. the owner/manager of the area asked for it to be removed), in which case the reason should be disclosed to avoid further such issues.
