Ok I guess we’ll just have to disagree on this one. I don’t see how a playground can be illegal. But I also wasn’t really saying the etching was illegal. I was saying (or I meant to say) that it doesn’t cross the line into art (for me).

Well, I don’t agree that “either we approve all, or none”. There are lots of grey areas. If voting was simple, we wouldn’t have such lively discussions in the forums, would we? There is a line between vandalism and art. But I can’t say for sure where the line is. And my line may be different from someone else’s. But…

Ok. Please don’t be offended. It may well be art. But it kind of looks like someone just kind of etched a drawing and a date into the concrete with some sort of pointed device. Almost like vandalism. I’m not saying it is…I’m saying it could look like that…I’m not sure how to improve this nomination so I will step aside.

Ah, but what you don’t realize is that the community was never even meant to know about these cells, or how they work. It is not an official stance. It was just “figured out” by someone. So there is no official rule or guideline about cells, gyms, etc. so there is no way to break a non existent rule.

Do you mind translating the title/description/supplemtal? Also, does the rejection email say “the community has decided” or “our team has decided”?

Unfortunately (and they don’t tell you this) not every wayspot becomes a pokestop. The criteria to become a pokestop is called the cell system. Only one pokestop per cell is allowed. Care to share the coordinates of the nomination? We can look up the cell that it is in.

Here’s my problem with criteria like “was it the first trail” or “does it have unique wildlife”? How on Earth do you convince reviewers of these statements even if they are true about your particular trail? It’s such a high standard that can’t be achieved in most areas. Yes I would accept. I accept most about anything on a college campus. My two suggestions are just my personal preference but I do not think personal preference should lead to a rejection . Unfortunately, in wayfarer, we see this happen all the time. But hopefully not in this case.

I’m gonna be honest. I still don’t like your main photo and title. I wish the picture was taken straight on, not an angle. And I don’t like the abbreviation. Not everyone who votes on your nomination will know the abbreviation of the community college.

I just want to point out that there was a loud contingent of wayfarers who wanted to make it easier to have things removed from the game. I always say be careful what you wish for.

For some reason, it infuriated reviewers that they couldn’t figure out how to deny things with the new review flow. So now they are falsely using a thumbs down in “distinct” category because they think they know better than Niantic about how the system should work.

Don’t worry about getting a ban for nominating a grill. It’s actually a legitimate nomination. There’s one trick that I know. When you make your nomination, immediately put it on hold.
