There are ways to look up the cells before you make nominations. We’re not allowed to discuss it here. But you can probably find out the information through a discord or Reddit group.
-
And the other shares a cell with three other wayspots. Cuevas de Ojén, Señal de senderos, and Sendero de la sierra de las nieves.
-
Pretty sure I found one of them. It shares a cell with Plano de la villa de Ojén.
-
Could we have a little more information on where they are located?
-
First of all, Pogo Maps isn’t always accurate. Second of all, tea set is definitely already in the database. Not sure about the other one. When you submit a nomination in Pokémon, there is a toggle in the bottom left corner. If you turn it on, you can see all nearby wayspots that are in the database. Not everything shows…

None of those words are synonyms.
-
You probably think it’s in a free cell but the other wayspot doesn’t show up in iitc because it’s too close to be another portal. Bottom line, it’s not in a free cell.

You’re committing a very classic wayfarer blunder. You are convinced that your nomination is eligible. Then it gets denied. Then the forum community tells you why it got denied. Then you proceed to tell us again why it is a good nomination. We’re not the ones you have to convince, it’s the reviewers. And I fear you have an…
-
There is very little that is “not eligible”. But there are alot of things that reviewers will not vote favorably on. Especially now that the “generic business” button is back. You would have to come up with a better description than “a dog grooming salon in the neighborhood”. Something that incorporates socializing would…

@Lefty5508-PGO Have you nominated anything yet? We can help you improve your nominations and also look for things nearby for you to nominate. “Most” eligible objects won’t be right inside your neighborhood, but maybe a nearby park, coffee shop, or karate studio? Something like that. Does your neighborhood have a community…

You’ve really got to start looking at this differently. Although this might be an interesting reservoir , imagine if every fishing pond were nominated. You’re really looking for something unique. Not a pond, and not a sidewalk. I’m sorry to be harsh.
-
Could you use that photo as the secondary photo?
-
Interesting. So it only took one to move it?
-
It has been stated many times by Niantic that gated communities are perfectly fine for wayspots. The members of the community and their guests have access so that is sufficient. Private property is only for single family residences.
-
I don’t think they are saying they nominated this…I think they are saying they attempted a photo edit. But I could be wrong.
-
Looking at satellite view, there is definitely a trail around the pond. The problem with this is that there is no specific place to pin a trail. This is why reviewers like signs, or trail markers, or something to anchor the submission on. Do you see how you could theoretically put the pin anywhere on that trail? That’s a…

We would need the Coordinates to look into it, but more than likely it doesn’t meet the inclusion rules for Pokémon go, which is a cell system. Imagine graph paper being wrapped around the globe. It would mostly be squares but some squares would be a little distorted. Anyway, each “square” is a cell, and only one pokestop…

Interesting. Are you a developer or an ambassador? I was told not to use the app unless otherwise.
-
So you’re not looking for advice on how to improve the nomination? That’s OK if you don’t. But there are people who are willing to help if you want it.
-
Ok let me take another approach. What exactly are you needing help with? I’ll help the best I can. Are you wanting an easy place to find all the answers to what meets criteria and what doesn’t? You won’t find it. There are too many gray areas to spell out each example and why it fits out doesn’t fit . Are you wanting to…

This was a long post and I’m only commenting on a few things I read in there. Stripe Malls and restaurants inherently have pedestrian access. You can safely walk into a store or a restaurant. They do not have to have sidewalks. It does not say anywhere that you cannot nominate chain restaurants. You’re kind of digging in…
-
If you would like advice on a nomination that has gotten rejected we would need to see the photo/title/description in order to make suggestions.
-
In order to advice, we would need to see the photo/title/description/supplemental information.

I’m truly, truly sorry that there are not more objects in your immediate vicinity that are worthy of wayspots. I truly am. But unfortunately, that is the reality for many rural players Vs. Urban players. Your eloquent speeches and earnestness about your nominations are not going to change that. I don’t think you are going…
-
I would capitalize the name of the restaurant and take the photo straight on.
-
Despite your explanations of why you feel these objects meet criteria, the harsh reality is that there is a small pool of reviewers who will vote on your nominations, and I suspect that most reviewers will see these objects as not really worthy of thumbs up in the categories you are highlighting. The people on this forum…

Thumbs down for the last three questions.

Muys Park appears to have a soccer field that hasn’t been nominated. And some people would argue that the playground can be a separate wayspot from the swings, since they are separated from each other. Be sure to put the pin at the top of the playground. Do you have a community mailbox area? Oftentimes those areas have…

I don’t think the appeals team really reads any of that stuff to be honest. Save your sanity and don’t try to understand why some things are accepted and others are not. Just keep pushing on. Improve your nomination, improve your photo, nominate it again, etc. Restaurants are not very easy to get accepted because reviewers…

One piece of advice. Edit the photos first. If you request a title edit of “John Doe memorial bench” to “Jane Doe memorial bench” but the photo still shows “John Doe”, the edit will likely fail.
