I think it's safe by now to assume they won't necessarily do that :)

I've yet to see any of those suggestions being correct with the previous UI but if you don't care what you select then I guess sure.

This is not my experience in Ingress. The community will react very negatively to players who use alt accounts to the point where you'll most likely be excluded from chats and OPs. I'm sure it happens but not nearly to the same extent as in PoGo where it seems to not only be common but also quietly accepted in most…

Having done a few Ingress missions where someone has done similar long distance location edits I would suggest maybe removing the old one and creating a new instead... That would also avoid this issue.

You open up a map that shows your location on a sattelite view (Like the Google Travel app) and screenshot where the pin is. Then when later submitting you try your best to match the visible features when placing the pin. It would arguably be better to be allowed to enter coordinates but here we are...

This is basically why the system is completely broken. While I have had success with removing portals that no longer exist directly from game if the Google street view has updated that's a vast minority of the stuff I've been trying to remove. To be honest this two-tier system of having to drag it to the forums only to…

Ignoring the fact that you just described the opposite way the system actually works, how am I supposed to know which one to reject if there are two similar photos? If I pick one at random, and everyone else picks one at random it sounds a lot like the end result is going to be both being in the game. Can you please start…

Nah, I haven't gotten any mail about it and it's gone entirely from the wayfarer site. Waypoints within 20 metres that don't become portals (or stops) are still listed as "Accepted" even though they don't get added to any games. This nomination is no more, it has ceased to be, bereft of trace it rests in peace. Apparently.
-
Hmm.. I never checked if it was there at some point, I just noticed recently that I had 6 confirmation emails but only 5 "accepted" emails.
-
I see. I'll get a picture the next time I'm there then, and if the angry man comes running I'll tell 'em you sent me.

They do, and they regularly answer posts here.

I always find it funny that only ingress players are too comfortable to look for a fly in the ointment. I play both the games, I just use my ING account here because that was the closest button the first time I signed in. And you're accusing me of getting worked up over details? OK. Anyway, nothing in your posts really…

Oh wow that website is wild. It checks just about every box for how to NOT build a site in 2021. It's insecure, inaccessible and well... the animated GIF talks for itself. Makes you wonder if it's some kind of middle school project or something. But EVEN IF the QR code actually pointed to something remotely useful, how can…

If someone isn't interested in reviewing pokestops they won't magically become so if we wave rewards in front of them. They'll be interested in the reward, sure, but not the reviewing. I don't think that's going to be very helpful. The review process needs to be made simpler and more attuned to the current criteria first.…

Almost all the time since the launch of OPR such applications have not passed. But now, as soon as Niantic started pulling nominations from the queue, they started appearing. Coincidence? :) Maybe, maybe not. There was also new criteria released this winter and a bunch of younger players seem to be picking up their Niantic…

I think you might be putting a bit too much faith in "the players" if you think it's impossible that these things passed normal reviews. Regardless of that, you can report invalid wayspots through the the game client. If the report is denied you can appeal it here:…

I doubt adding more reviewers will automatically make everything better unless those reviewers actually take care to read the criteria and review properly instead of just 1* everything in the hopes of faster upgrades because that again leads to a lot of nominations needing to be submitted (and reviewed) multiple times. So,…
-
It means that the list of submissions waiting to be reviewed is long and that there are still even older submissions than yours waiting to get looked at by reviewers. It's caused by there being more submissions coming into the system than going out. It's perfectly normal, and depending on how many wayspots already exist in…

though probably fewer since I'm not going to go stomping through someone's fields to get to the supposed painted walls that are there. Do it. Go there, stand in the middle of the field and yell "This is an EX-portal!!"

Same. I use the 3* when I don't really have an opinion. Since the cultural value of trail markers was mentioned that's a very common instance for me to use it. If there was a 4 star scale I would have to give those 2*. For me the 3* is saying "I'm kinda neutral on this". Another case where I use it often is for the…

Very evident that many reviewers consider rejection criteria first and acceptance last. This is the only sane way to approach doing reviews because while a nomination must meet 4 acceptance criteria to be accepted it should be rejected for meeting just 1 rejection criteria.

I've gotten one a few months ago. I wouldn't say it improved my experience but it's not like it ruined my day either.
