I've also left a comment in that thread, also waiting on moderation. I've been as balanced as I can so it doesn't come across as nothing more than ranting. I do like the feature generally and if the review time and takedown issues are dealt with I'll be happy with it.

Today one of my routes which has been active since the summer was removed, the rejection reason was "inaccessible area". This route has been walked hundreds of times by the community.
