I guess I don't understand what safe pedestrian access means. You can't get on or off the hill without crossing the bridge, and people walk across it many times a day. I personally think the view of the creek from the bridge it pretty impressive. It always amazes me that that much water can be forced out of a mountain and that it runs all year round.

I will see if I can get a "classic view" of the bridge, but the sides going down to the water are very steep. It was originally a stone bridge, but since it is the only way up the hill, construction trucks would use it and it was broken a couple of times.
