I do not considered a Chipotle in a part of my city with plenty of Wayspots to meet criteria. I am also from a small town, which had a Caribou Coffee. However, since the coffee shop isn't always open, due to lack of employees, it's not a good nomination. Plus, there are many good places that meet criteria to nominate.…

I don't know if you're going to get an exact reason, but most likely the AI didn't see it as a nomination to reject, and allowed it into the queue. Vietnam isn't the only country right now getting a good deal of bad nominations coming into the queue; I getting plenty every day for my region. I recently found a Wayspot at a…

The last update in both the app and the website for this location is January 2022. I think the 15 hours may be in regards to when someone last viewed the location, not when Street View was last updated.

No, I think a longer post was warranted, as, yes, there has been some frustration with the ambos and their communications on the forums. My frustrations are more in line with how some respond, as at times some have been a bit passive aggressive, as if I should already know something (not you, though). I think how some…

There were quite a lot of information/bulletin boards in the last global challenge, especially in Japanese neighborhoods, and some just don't see them as being eligible. Because of our modern, tech world, they don't see these as meeting the social/exercise/explore criteria These appear to have been rejected before the…

I only submit title/description edits if needed, and, most of the time, they either get rejected by the AI or take forever to be reviewed by the community.

True. Many YMCAs have preschools and childcare centers, but they have Wayspots for their exercise studios, pools, gyms, etc. If the head start didn't trust the soccer club, I don't think they would've opened next to it. Also, they have separate entrances, with the soccer club being on the northeast side of the blue…

Yeah, there isn't that much snow right now. Street View was last updated January 2022, almost 2 years ago. I don't know where you're getting that it was updated yesterday. And yes, it's in a large pot, but not for it to be removed. The pot is an anchor, meaning it's quite heavy. It's also used by those that don't wish to…

I doubt a head start preschool owns their own buildings. Head starts are for children of low income families, plus this one just opened a few months ago. I doubt either owns the building, but if one did, I'd say the soccer club, as they've been there longer. Trying to find out who owns it with the city could be a huge…

As far as I know, the preschool isn't using the dome, just the soccer club. May just suggest a location edit to move it closer to the dome.

Adult only locations could be consider offensive, but it depends on what it is. If this isn't the case, and it still doesn't meet criteria, you can still report it as a fake nomination. That is what is listed in the reporting abuse page. Fake nominations or criteria issues: The wayspots/nominations that do not exist in the…

If you received an email within 48 hours of submitting that said "the team" rejected it, then it was the AI that rejected it, and no reason may be given. We really can't say why it was rejected, especially if it was by the AI. We're trying to encourage you to nominate the clinic again, but to include information about it…
-
Keep in mind that the Wayspots you are seeing at other VA clinics may not have been nominated by someone in the community, or their descriptions/supporting info may mention that they are social spots for local veterans. If there is a certain gathering space in the clinic where you do meet up, you may want to focus on that…

Have to agree that if it's a place that provides services, even if it isn't to those with disabilities, it really doesn't meet the social/exercise/explore criteria. I don't see many Wayspots at locations offering services to their communities, nor do I see them nominated often. The exception would be if they offered…

I would need to know where it's located, such as a community garden, park, trail, etc. It's hard to tell from just the photo. Also, what did you list in the description? And yes, the title should be Flower Pot in the title.

No, it's gone. Bet it was flagged. My point was that medical facilities could be viewed as sensitive due to the nature of what happens there. I'm ok with an art piece or fountain in a clinic or hospital lobby being a Wayspot, as long as it can be accessed by the public, and the public is not intruding on the care of…
-
Well, I just did. My last post was removed within minutes of posting, giving good examples of why a medical facility could be deemed sensitive. Guess a good point of discussion that you brought up doesn't want to be discussed by the community...
-
Yeah, it's been getting quite annoying having all these neighborhood/apartment complex signs pop up for review, especially since the Oct 30th update to the system.
-
Ask yourself this: do you really want complete strangers that have no business being at a medical facility to be wondering around? Do you think most patients want complete strangers to possibly interrupt their care? Do you think someone should be battling in a PoGo gym outside of a hospital room that may have a dying…

Yes, it doesn't meet criteria, but it can also be viewed as a sensitive location. In the US, we have a law against sharing health care information called HIPPA. Not everyone that visits a clinic or hospital may want people exploring the site, especially if they are receiving care that they wish to keep private, which HIPPA…

I wouldn't approve a VA clinic or hospital. I can see it as a sensitive location, especially for those seeking care. Agree with you on this. Almost all Wayspots at clinics or hospitals, in general, are art pieces, memorials, and other decorative and/or dedication items.
-
I'm thinking that since this Wayspot is new, and it's in the US, it may have gotten approved during the last global challenge, like the LFL I found on private property on the same day. There has been someone submitting many LFLs in my area that have already been rejected for private property. Kind of stinks that I really…

I think some actual Wayfarers must have judged the windmill to have historic interest, and didn't recognize that it didn't qualify. My point exactly!
-
I'm from a small town, and I'd never nominate the Caribou Coffee there; sometimes it's not even open because they don't have enough workers. I live in a bigger city now, and there are plenty of better spots to nominate, or they're already good Wayspots. The Chipotle in question is already a Wayspot, and quite new. I never…
-
Well then, do you think the Panda Express, IHOP, Wendy's, Qdoba, McDonald's, Popeye's, Caribou Coffee, and Noodles and Co in the same area should have Wayspots? There's already several unique Wayspots in the area, mainly local businesses, art, and nearby parks, so, imo, the Chipotle is coal.
-
I'm not in the UK, so I'm just giving my opinion based on the information you provided. The photo shows the name of the windmill on a sign, King's Mead, with said windmill clearly in the photo albeit the background. Some may think that the private residence is a part of the windmill. The description mentions the year the…
-
You don't have to get inside to take a photo of the windmill. It's clearly in the photo. And it's not the small windmill, it's the large one, I take. Most likely it got through for being historical. Not all would know that it's a private residence; I certainly wouldn't have, especially with the sign out front.
