The biggest concern is rejection of good things I think. A church, for example, used to be a 5* nomination usually but I am forced to answer negatively to the question about exercise
-
@NianticTintino-ING Let me start by saying this seems to be on the face of it an improvement. Quick question though, (and without divulging the specifics) has the weighting for each question been addressed as OR or cumulative? Specifically will nominations be penalised for not having a yes on all categories. To clarify let…

I should add as well, it is not on the grounds of the school but about 1/2 miles away
-
Have you checked the distance from other waypoints? If they are really close to ones that exist they’ll never appear.
-
Does anyone know how long nominations stay in ‘In Voting Niantic’? I have an appeal in that status since late Feb but my last appeal was overturned in less than a day.
-
Without wanting to get political here, I do not understand what it achieves. Fleeing refugees or remaining civilians in Ukraine need humanitarian aid, not new Pokestops.
-
I’ll do you one better, I’ve had some ‘prehistoric post boxes’. Those Stone Age men and women were a strange lot it seems, they were hunter gatherers, had not discovered forging metal yet still had a fully functioning postal service. Who knew! 🤣🤣
-
Few things pal 1) Niantic will never openly admit to using S2 cells (even if it is the worst kept secret) 2) Even if they did it would make the game a nightmare. Remember in PoGo, unlike Ingress you have monsters to tap to try to catch. The screen would be too busy to accurately tap what u wanted, especially on smaller…

I guess they’ve answered by letting you appeal to them directly, not to reviewers again. The jury is still out, I guess on how well/quickly appeals will work as it’s a new feature so I’ll give them some time to streamline before I judge.
-
Actually you do have non pvp advantages If your accounts are the same team you can stack a gym to make it harder for others to get in it and get coins. If you are on different teams you can knock yourself out of the gym to get the coins you need that day
-
Are you the hotel owner by any chance?
-
I think some reviewers, whether it’s to get the badge in PoGo or Ingress or to keep getting upgrades for thier own stuff reject on mass with whatever reason their finger hits when they tap the screen. Its happened to me and it sucks I know
-
I have no problem in asking for a Pokestop / Portal but you are missing a trick. The supporting information is there to help reviewers understand why something is important. Sure some things are always slam dunk before I get to that point I would look there (churches etc) but some questionable ones can be swayed with…
-
It’s a difficult one to track. Yes there are those who have baby accounts so they can trade between and get lucky Pokémon but as the OP says it may be that you are spinning a few stops on a ‘supply run’ for your kids while you are out already. I read a post not so long ago from a guy who is the only person who plays in his…

Comments like this annoy everyone and stink of ingress snobbery. I can attest be sure that some junk I get to me is from ingress as the nomination mentions a portal not a Pokestop. I also know that the ones I am sure can be from Pogo can be just as good as any Ingress nomination. I’ve had some refused, sure, but I take…

Well done on the new stop. I find if it gets accepted before 9AM GMT (UK time) it gets in there between 7 and 8 PM. Sometimes it can take a little longer if there are sync issues (they had a few recently but they’re fixed now).
-
Hence why I said I would personally 3* in this situation not 1*. I have said elsewhere, so I will reiterate, a photosphere is not required and I would never reject for lack of a photosphere. Without a photosphere though, I have to use other clues to determine if it is definitely there. If you give me a news article about…
-
It is not asking submitters to do free work for Google. What doing a photosphere does is gives extra evidence on why your nomination is a good one and giving your nomination every chance to get accepted. If all I see is a building site on Google street view 2 months old and satellite view yet you submit an object or…

Thats not a perfect solution because it stops the incentive to move them if the POI is legitimately in the wrong place. Why would a small community get what may be thier only gym deleted? Plus Niantic would have to admit they use S2 cells which they won’t.
-
What’s clear here is that there is no general consensus. Personally I would 3* but I do understand the logic of those who 1*. I would like to reiterate though, as a submitter for stuff like this you should photosphere. It isn’t in the criteria that they have to, that’s true, but a lot of things aren’t (such as URLs) yet we…

To me, think in a Pokémon Go perspective. If it was turned into a gym, could a number of people travel to it and stand on/around it safely to do a raid - that is answer if it is safe or not.
-
In that scenario they could do a photosphere
-
The badge only updates if you are in good / great. As for what you are doing wrong, it is difficult to tell without seeing what you rate each thing as.
-
I would tend to say 3* Just because the path may not be recognised on Google doesn’t mean it’s not there - without going there is no way of knowing. Rejecting it seems harsh. Having said that this is an ideal situation where submitter should photosphere.
-
Sometimes Niantic run checks before the stop is put into the queue. It can take a day or so. Only then do you get the email.
-
The problem I see with that sometimes we still need to judge. A school in current use is not allowed. A disused school building with significant historic value is but you could theoretically categorise both as school
-
Probably this one. It is locally important yet was not submitted.
-
It does beg the question though, if Niantic are reviewing it anyway, why should it go back in the queue?
-
That’s assuming it is Niantic and not Vanilla. The problem with censoring is it will always pick up things incorrectly. Having words mean different things in different languages only makes it worse. it happens all the time, known as the ‘Scunthorpe problem’. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scunthorpe_problem
