Or this one: Real POI https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=48.657044,12.030243&z=19&pll=48.657039,12.029529 Duplicate https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=48.657588,12.03039&z=19&pll=48.657793,12.030782 Exact same picture 100 meters apart.

Aaaand I found more: Another fake: https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=52.030541,7.111387&z=20&pll=52.030533,7.111552 Real location is here: https://intel.ingress.com/intel?ll=52.030858,7.103841&z=19&pll=52.030815,7.103909 Source: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Stolperstein_Hauptstrasse_22_legden_Rika_Seligmann.jpg And…

Oh boy :D thanks for putting in the work

More submissions for "wayfarer Whales" would be nice too. I live in a rural area so if I could I'd submit 10 POI a day. Active reviewers should get more than just an upgrade every once in a while. Just a quick calculation: I reviewed more than 21.000 submissions so far. Let's assume that it takes 50 votes to reach a…
-
Which shows that Niantics nonexistent submitter training is the problem and not the Level. Currently we are the ones training new submitters by rejecting garbage submissions. This trial and error approach is frustrating for everyone involved.
-
Good. Burden of proof is on the submitter though. None of the things you said are apparent from the picture above alone so you will need to convince reviewers through supporting photo / statement
-
The problem with illegal graffitis isn't so much that they don't look cool it's mainly that local authorities could clean it up at any time. Also I don't think Niantic wants to promote vandalism through their games.
-
The system is full of garbage because Niantic treats everyone the same. You can have 0 5000 10.000 or 50.000 Wayfarer agreements you will always get the same amount of submissions. Trainer Level is not correlated to your ability to submit good POI so it shouldn't be a requirement. There should be other requirements that…
-
aaaand again. Submitting your microwave 2 times in a row. I feel like a human spam filter lol
-
Your agreement ratio really doesn't say much. You can have an ok ratio and still fall to poor/fair if you rate on pre reviewed nominations the wrong way.
-
I don't think the smoking part is the largest problem here. The problem I see - at least at a first glance - is that there is no clear pedestrian access and that it seems to be an illegal graffiti.
-
They should deflect entirely from the Level focus and only factor in skill. My suggestion: Every player gets one submission every 2 weeks per default and they can "earn" more submissions by getting wayfarer agreements or submitting good things. Weed out bad submitters by setting the bar high.
-
This is one of these cases where it would be very helpful if the submitter could choose the category they think their nomination fits. There are probably a lot of reviewers who don't even know art galleries are eligible.
-
Take a photo that doesn't have license plates in it and lay the focus on the object itself and it might pass with a good title/description. But even then you are very likely to get a "generic business" rejection. Might have to submit more than once.
-
3 campuses? Good for you. That's 3 possible POI. Maybe choose the main entrance and submit that as a representation of the building.
-
So obviously there are a lot of different opinions here and since the section is called criteria clarification can we please get some clarification on this @Niantic ?
-
True. What a bummer.
-
It's all complete arbitrariness at this point. By the way I'm still waiting for someone who can explain to me why these trail markers were rejected. So far not one person on this forum was able to do so. https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/8544/trail-marker
-
Ok but that still wouldn't be "generic" in my opinion since the cultural value of art is very high. Also I think most art galleries do both - display and sell. You could just walk into a gallery and admire a painting without having to buy one.
-
If Niantic wants to go back to clarifying stuff via the AMA's that's absolutely fine with me but in that case they should probably rename the section. For a place that is called criteria clarification there is very little clarification going on there at the moment.
-
Is it? Can you point me to where I can find this in the criteria? And why would Hiking trails be rated differently then? Isn't the trail marker a physical representation of the trail itself? The criteria only lists "Exercise equipment in public spaces" as eligible. It says nothing about rating "the space itself". This is…
-
Yes if you apply common sense. No if you argue the way some people in the criteria clarification now do..
-
Why would that matter? Museums also often sell souvenirs and we still accept them. Just because something is a business doesn't mean it's "generic".
-
Niantic should send people who misuse the "generic business" rejection reason straight into poor rating if you ask me. It's way too common
-
Oh sorry I misread that ^^ let me edit my post real quick
-
Ok cool. How about this: I'll create a thread in the "invalid wayspot appeal" section and just appeal half a million POI that now fall under mass produced :) Almost all trail markers, all UK Post Boxes etc. etc. According to the logic of some people in this thread all these POI shouldn't exist anymore because they clearly…
-
In europe it's not uncommon to get submissions from 5-10 different countries. You can skip or give 3* to title and description if you don't understand it. Also "deepl translator" is pretty good. (Better than google translate in my opinion)
-
The old "needs to have the trails name on it" criteria wasn't ideal but at least it left less space for random interpretation. Just take a look at your area and think about how many POI could be removed if you just stretch out the term "mass produced" enough. Berlin would lose a couple thousand historic waterpumps and…
-
Then Niantic should clarify. If 50 meters is too close then why isn't a number like this simply mentioned? Can't be that hard to add a minimum distance that is acceptable but they chose not to so I just assume there isn't.
-
We wouldn't reject a playground because it contains mass produced objects. Same goes for trail markers in my opinion. They represent the trail. Niantic being extremely vague on topics like this really allows for every possible outcome. Almost all trail markers are "mass produced" in some way. Too much room for…
