As I said. If we apply both eligible and ineligible at the same time and don't prioritize anyone of them we have effectively created an insolvable situation that can ONLY be resolved if either of them has more weight to it. If you reject based on this assumption you have overruled eligibility If you accept based on this…

Not only is the idea cool it's litterally what Niantic games were created for: Getting out to explore. But apparantly still a hot debate in the wayfarer community ;D Whatever. I give all trail markers 5* and that's the hill I will die on.
-
Ok that's your opinion. Where do I find this in the criteria? And even if that is Niantics standpoint reviewers could still argue that it is "limited production" and not "mass-produced". A lot of wiggle room here because Niantic is notoriously unclear about the rules.
-
And vice versa. Following your logic here reviewers would always be wrong no matter what they do: Accept POI? --> Wrong because it's mass produced Reject POI? --> Wrong because it's explicitly mentioned as eligible Congratulations you have just created schrödingers submission which is eligible and ineligible at the same…
-
The crane in the background really doesn't help the submission. I'd wait until the construction work is finished before resubmitting.
-
You could probably sell this as "A great place for exploration" --> Unique Architecture
-
I mean technically they are :D
-
oh and this
-
On a second look you might be right. Didn't save the pic unfortunately. But whatever is the case here - photoshop or vandalism - both is abuse and shouldn't even be in the system in the first place.
-
So I had this gem in my reviews today. @NianticCasey-ING You might want to take action against players who vandalise public property :)
-
Where I live they get rejected regardless of how far away from each other they are (Usually at least 500 metres).
-
Nowhere in the rules does it state that a trail has to go through wilderness in order to be eligible.
-
I have no idea why people even fake there. Since PoGo was able to submit I created more than 70 POI in that region and there are still a lot of eligible things left. The region around Bad Bentheim was terribly underserved and people decide to create fakes in the middle of a swamp first instead of submitting churches and…

I love how people always just assume that "there must be something wrong with your submission". I mean often enough there is but when I shared all the details about my submissions litterally no one was able to tell me what was wrong with them and nothing happened. So what is the benefit of sharing nomination details? All I…
-
Just a reminder for the "not visually unique" folks that this is the example Niantic once gave.
-
Trail markers get rejected regardless of the quality of the submission in some parts of the world. I got a lot of advice in that thread and I followed all of it. 360° Photosphere Provided links to criteria and the website of the trail marker in the supporting statement High quality photo etc. etc. Still 8 out of 9 got…
-
Niantic should systematically include Trail markers as honeypots. This is absurd.
-
By the way they are in the middle of a wetland / wildlife refuge so probably only reachable by spoofing. Here's the wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gildehauser_Venn
-
And the next trail marker rejected. The rules changed from the emphasis on the name to the new "great place for exercise" guideline. That's effectively irrelevant for this one though because it fits both in my opinion. I did create a photosphere this time so location accuracy wasn't the problem. I will keep submitting them…
-
That's one possible interpretation but one could also argue that regardless of what route is chosen it still falls under the "great place for exercise" category.
-
We wouldn't even need upgrades in the first place if the system wasn't full of garbage.
-
I like the idea of rewards. Niantic could set the bar really high though (like 10.000 agreements) in order to scare away the people who would only start reviewing for the rewards. A little more appreciation for the wayfarer "whales".
-
Yeah. I live in a rural area and added more than 70 POI over the last year. We went from a handful active players to ~30
-
I mean yeah up until recently that would have been true but the new criteria does not mention that the sign needs to have a name on it so I suppose this is the "grey area" Niantic has been talking about. In that case this would need to be judged in it's regional context.
-
Translation: Gave it 5* because I think it's not on the school grounds. Some reviewers are probably stricter or simply…
-
You can earn upgrades by reviewing nominations yourself. In order to do that you need to pass the Reviewer test first. For every 100 agreements you get one upgrade. Apply an upgrade to your nomination and the voting process won't take as long. Depending on your region it might still take a while though.
-
We are working as fast as possible. Don't pressure us gentle reviewers we are sensitive creatures.
-
That was someone else's submission. Same trail though. (Reviewed it myself ^^)
-
Niantic could always start banning fakers. Nevermind I'll show myself out.
-
Ok so this was unexpected. One actually got accepted on the third attempt. Still not a great yield overall with 7 rejected and one accepted but now at least I know that it's technically possible to get them accepted. Good to know.
