Sorry but these are definitely fake, they're temporarily stuck on top of other signs such as Public Footpath signs. Sure, it's a good job, but it's fake. You can easily get these discs made. Anyway, there is no named trail matching, let alone on this route. To get a named trail like this takes years and you actually need…

Yeah I'm not joining in on either side but just pointing out that in some old towns virtually every building is listed. Should they all be POI? Something to think about. Maybe they should. I've spent 2 years trying to get a grade II listed 17th Century structure accepted, but maybe nobody else finds it interesting, or…

OK then there are at least two in the game! Probably many more by now.
-
There is one already in the game that got wide coverage, which has opened the floodgates. Whichever reviewers approved that one need to be permabanned from all Niantic games.

My own nominations can go into voting and not come out for 6 months. So, someone must have voted on them early on who doesn't get an agreement for 6 months.
-
And if they do eventually get it through they've learnt nothing, and will continue to make the same lazy careless ineligible nominations in future.
-
You also get the same ineligible nomination day after day after day.
-
Yeah good point it does vary by country, my acceptances are in the UK.

Yes see a huge amount of fakes and ineligible stops and just garbage submissions. Pubs and clubs that have closed down, Postboxes misrepresented, locations falsified, scout huts masquerading as community halls, patches of grass, corner shops, big retailer stores, car parks, noticeboards that don't have any eligible events…

The whole interface could do with a complete overhaul. The nominator needs to know If this type of POI is eligible or not, and if it is eligble but not acceptable that needs to be made clear, for example it blocks emergency services or there is something wrong with their nomination (such as photo not good enough, text cut…

Just had 10 trail marker acceptances in a row. Now I'm not saying you've done anything wrong because I don't know you and I've never seen your nominations, but it's taken me a long time and a lot of effort to get to this point. I certainly had plenty of rejections in the past. So if anyone wants any tips I'm happy to…

Niantic won't remove coal. You can only get wayspots removed if they're fake, or they break a location rule, for example in a school.
-
Of the last 15 nominations only one was rejected and that was a cemetery Chapel so I do understand some reviewers are not going to be swayed by the fact that it's a listed building and the interior is open to the public on certain days. So no I'm not experiencing a lot of rejections.

Yes your number 2 is key. We get vexatious nominators who keep submitting the same ineligible candidates over and over again because they never at any stage get a clear, official, unequivocal message saying "this simply isn't eligible because...". Similarly, reviewers never get a direct message saying "you really must stop…

Firstly there is something odd going on, so although I've always had a 'great' rating, it's suddenly dropped to 'poor'. Maybe I've just been reviewing too much and need to wait for the agreements to catch up. Anyway, have you been giving solid 5 star ratings? Rarely, if ever, does anything merit 5* in any category, let…

Because I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere until now, I was beginning to think that I had been singled out to be the lucky recipient of an absolute deluge of total garbage and fakes. In some ways, it's reassuring to know that it's happening to everyone else as well. Even the few diamonds among the tonnes of coal have been…

You can mark them as abuse/fake

For me yes it's the emotional experience thing. Make me feel like I want to be there. Make me envious of the great time everyone's having in that cafe, bar or whatever. Make it sound like the place I would want to visit first if I ever go to that area, just to soak up the atmosphere. I really don't care whether it opened…

I think that some reviewers are thinking of a multistorey building in a city when we say 'hospital', but the kind of hospital I know covers a vast sprawling campus - you would literally drive from one side to the other, they're that big - which includes chapels and churches, parks, statues, artwork, benches, gardens etc.
-
First, is it graffiti (not eligible) or 'Street art' (which might be)? Secondly, is it in a location where it's likely to be painted over (in which case, 'temporary')? So that's two subjective decisions where we have to use our judgment. But anyway, Street View is usually years old, so it's usually safe to assume the…

Thank you for that. It seems also that when this incorrect photo was added to this stop, this stop was additionally moved from its original, correct position to the position of the nomination from which the incorrect photo was merged. I've put in a move request, but since the distance is more than 10m, and edits take 2…

Sorry, somehow missed out the important bit. "Please remove the two photos on the right, the ones with red crosses,, which are of a different location."

One point not often mentioned is the social aspect. Less so these days, of course, but in the past there would be a permanent group of neighbours standing around the postbox chatting. Because so much business was transacted by post, you were bound to run into someone there, and while you chatted, someone else would turn…

I would like to add to this discussion but it's a sunny day and I have 7 nominations so that's 7 more postboxes that I can 100% guarantee will go through.
