They're placemarkers for a distinct section of trail - that's the important point. Goalposts all look pretty much the same but you don't expect them to all look radically different when used as markers for football pitches.
-
Restricted public access isn't a valid removal reason - providing some people can access it e.g. residents and guests it's valid. Wayspots don't have to be accessible by everyone.
-
I'm going back a few decades :-)

Is the postbox outside Pantycelan still regularly repainted green in the middle of the night?
-
If you can access it if you know someone that lives there then it isn't an invalid wayspot.
-
Sorry - this a Wayfarer community site not Pokemon, you'll need to ask on one of the Pokemon forums.
-
I wouldn't have a problem accepting them if the historic england link was in supporting info.

Interesting - I'm not sure the separate entrances makes a difference, I would still think of it as one building (the former church) containing multiple residences, but I can understand your argument and I'm not sure there's a 'right' answer - it will be interesting to see how Niantic view it.

If the building had been converted into one single family residence then I would say the building would be invalid but if it's three houses within the one building it should still be valid.

You can appeal one every 25 days. The button will disappear in between.
-
We can't really give advice without seeing them - if you want to post them in nomination improvement people will happily give suggestions.
-
Wayspots in gated communities are perfectly acceptable - private residential property restrictions only apply to single family residential properties. Wayspots only have to have access to some of the public - they don't have to be accessible to everyone.
-
Yes if it's divided into four flats it won't break the rules. If you're nominating it make it clear it is multiple residences (trying to show multiple door bells in the photo can help convince reviewers for example).
-
No idea - I've failed to get a sailing club through that similarly should be an easy pass.
-
As to why things that don't meet current criteria are wayspots there are multiple reasons - criteria changes from time to time, people make mistakes, people deliberately vote wrongly etc. Just make sure when you nominate you follow current guidance and don't base nominations on what other people have managed to nominate.

Welcome signs rarely get approved as they don't really meet any criteria - they're not a great place to explore, exercise or socialise. You wouldn't suggest them as a place that you must see, exercise at etc. Any socialisation is coincidental not the purpose of the sign.
-
Sorry - I can't see that it really meets any of the criteria even if it is well known locally.
-
If you start making exceptions to LFL where would you stop? Why not historic plaques, murals etc. ? Or interesting architectural details? I don't see that there needs to be exceptions - clear rules make life easier.
-
You can also report in app.
-
If you think the removal was wrong you can appeal in the appeals section of the forum. Just follow the format provided preferably with geotagged photos
-
You'll need to provide evidence that these are not on the walls of single family private residences - coordinates might be enough for streetview or geotagged photos.
-
Only thing to watch with decommissioned pubs is they're frequently converted into non-eligible buildings - often single family homes or in my nearest's case a nursery.
-
It doesn't look like it is a great place to explore, socialise or exercise - it looks like a run of the mill non-decorative municipal fountain so not remotely eligible. If you want some suggestions on what might meet the basic criteria I'm sure if you post your location people will help.

We think Niantic have been playing with AI or Machine Learning again and haven't made a good job of it...
-
Basically if it's on a single family residential property including the properties boundary walls it's invalid. So an historical plaque on a shop would be fine but not on a house or garden wall. Occasionally things do get wrongly approved until removed but make sure you don't submit invalid wayspots. Don't forget to be…
-
If you feel any do meet the removal criteria I would suggest reporting in app and only posting here if you need to appeal. I'm sure no one wants to see abusive manipulation of the gameboard with false removal requests.
-
There are no official new guidelines, just a single personal opinion in one thread about what makes a good trail marker. There's nothing been stated about eligibility I don't think there is anyway to remove your own nominations unless they meet one of the very limited removal criteria, and that doesn't include not meeting…

It would have been good to see a couple of posters rapidly silenced after they repeatedly ignored warnings.
