Yes a good photo and description of the bench alone should be a fairly straightforward accept
-
I wasn't suggesting distance was relevant in reviewing - just pointing out that the 370k number wasn't a realistic figure for your apparent concern as to the large number of listed buildings swamping nominations- people are less likely to nominate candidates they know won't appear in existing games, bcause that's the…

Yes I've similar nominations for other markers on the same path approved without problem. I've just noticed it was auto-upgraded which may not have helped. I don't bother submitting footpath markers where they're not clearly part of a named trail, but I think this fits exploration as well as anything. The rather odd…

Agreed - they are a bit borderline as to whether they're just labels rather than information boards and probably getting a fair few 2/3 votes. You could try a very good description giving the information people would ideally want on the sign - maybe something along the lines of : "Aboretum sign for Eastern Redbud Tree…

Many of that 370k are PRP so wouldn't be eligible, and others will fall foul of distance/cell location, so the number of eligible will be much smaller. If they're not PRP then I suspect most have strong merit.
-
I wouldn't focus on it being the only one in the area - having to go there because there is nowhere else doesn't really meet the criteria. You've got to sell it as somewhere people choose to come because of what it offers. If it's not a great place to socialise find an alternative nomination.
-
Can you post the full nominations with title, text and supporting information? It might be the way you are selling them, although neither seem like slam dunk acceptances.
-
I don't think it's anything to do with ingress players. You are not allowed game references in the title or description. Technically they're not banned from supporting evidence, but you're not submitting a nomination for a game, you're submitting a nomination that's a point of interest (which may be used in some games)
-
To be valid electronically interaction is not enough - you have to be able to physically touch the nomination. Historic buildings/houses are only eligible if they are not single family private residences. Murals cannot be attached to single family residences either.
-
These ones are always tricky - it's not unusual for municipal (valid) parks to be built next to schools, but equally school playing fields (invalid) are often separated from the school buildings by a fence yet very much school property. Streetview doesn't always help much.

Good afternoon Yanng - you might find this useful from the AMAs: " We do not expect all players to have access to all locations but we strongly recommend following real-world rules while attempting to access locations. Wayspots do not have to be accessible by everyone - for example a wayspot in an industrial park where only employees can access is perfectly within the rules. It's only single private residences that are restricted, not communal spaces for multiple residents.
-
You can't move waypoints just to create extra Pokestops or Gyms - if the wayspot is at the entrance to the building that would be the correct spot.
-
Niantic's rules for removal apply globally.
-
On your second example it depends on whether the building is a single family private residence - if it is then it would meet the removal criteria, but if it's a block of apartments it wouldn't. It looks more like a group of apartments, but if you can provide evidence it's a single family house then Niantic are likely to…
-
Not quite - it only has to be accessible by some people, not everyone.
-
it's not the system, it's the local voters. Thanet is notorious for passing weak submissions. The trouble is once they're in game few of them meet the tougher removal criteria.
-
I wouldn't have passed it if I was reviewing the original submission because I don't think it met the criteria very well, however as Niantic have stated it doesn't meet the removal criteria.
-
I'm not convinced as a proportion of fakes remote nominations are that high - most of the lazy/poor/fake submissions on the various threads on here (and I see when reviewing) seem to be made in the immediate area. You'll never develop a system that can't be abused in some way. The answer is to crack down on the abusers,…

I agree it shouldn't have been voted through, but I can't see which of the removal criteria it falls under.
-
I can't see whether it's a wayspot or not makes any difference to the residents privacy - any passer by can look through the windows.
-
Interesting object. I wonder whether it was a mile stone or boundary marker originally, with the bench mark aded later?
-
It looks okay, but sharing the full nomination with description and supporting photo might help someone come up with suggestions.
-
I can't see the structure being interesting enough to fit any criteria, but the plaques might be.
-
How does whether it's a wayspot or not alter the fact that anyone passing by can look through the windows?
-
Those coordinates are for a private house - have you mistyped them?
-
Yes - it's not one of the reasons for removal, and neither bricks or stacked rebar are inherently dangerous.
-
Generally eligible.
-
Neither being in an industrial park or somewhere being dirty meet the removal criteria.
-
Nobody is defending the situation, just re-iterating the rules. Portals only accessible to employees are within Niantic's rules.
