That's not a valid reason for removal
-
Shouldn't be unless particularly artistic etc.
-
Yes it's not a rule I like, but under Niantic's rules these plaques are only valid on properties with multiple residencies or businesses, not single family homes. No doubt a fair few have been voted through but they aren't valid.
-
It's attached to a building. If that building is a private residence then it's technically invalid as a wayspot.
-
If that wall belongs to a single family residence then sadly even if it is accessible from the footpath/sidewalk it's still against the rules.
-
I don't have a strong opinion on whether they should be K12 or not, but it would be useful if Niantic gave a clear instruction one way or the other. They used to be K12 if their main purpose was as a scout hall rather than being a general community hall that was occasionally used by scouts, but with Niantic seemingly…

I honestly don't know what the current rules are on fire hydrants - they seem to be forever flipping back and forth depending on who answers.
-
Niantic may want evidence that it's not a single private residence before they'll reinstate.
-
Doesn't look photoshopped to me - just in camera sharpening/image recovery artefacts. I would want to carefully check location though.
-
Maybe it got removed as part of Niantic's clean up of abusive submissions.
-
Whether or not there's a category isn't related to eligibility, things can have a category but not be eligible. In the UK most people would reject common benchmarks, but the more special markers such as trig points or old metal flush plates (if not on a residential house) would generally pass.
-
Can't this be safely reached from round the other side? It doesn't appear to be surrounded by water?
-
I don't know about where you live, but in my bit of rural England it's quite possible to get a signal with one or two providers but not the others. I also don't think it's unreasonable for longer term players of any game to create waypoints for those players who haven't reached the submission threshold - it can take rural…
-
You need a much better connection to upload than to interact with spots - in many of the local villages you can't get a good enough signal to submit. Visiting a village, taking a batch of photos then submitting accurately remotely is the best option.
-
Without seeing the full nomination it's difficult, but ordinarily a water tank wouldn't meet criteria as @TheFarix-PGO so is unlikely to pass anyway, but the title and description might be 3*
-
If the object is on school grounds then yes it's invalid. It looks like a misplaced pin.
-
I would argue the landing stage is attached to the pier head rather than part of the pier head, but it's just semantics. The important thing is you cannot safely walk to the exact spot where the nomination was positioned which is a requirement for waypoints. It's an unsafe building on that platform with clear 'Danger Keep…

You may be able to land on the jetty's and landing stage attached to the pier head but you cannot walk up to the centre of the domed structure here the waypoint was nominated - the nominated point is literally a few feet from the 'Danger Keep Off ' sign.
-
Being able to interact with a waypoint (either through Pokemon Ingress or any of the other games) from a vessel isn't good enough - you must be able to safely physically walk up to the nominated spot, which here you clearly can't.
-
The nominated wayspot was the Victorian Pier Head with the wayspot marker in the centre of the condemned building - this building cannot be accessed. You may be able to legally moor at the adjacent jetties (I don't know), but you cannot access the Pier Head structure which was the nominated waypoint. As you agree there are…
-
You might be able to access the old landing stage but you cannot access the actual pier head - the structure is still clearly marked "Dangerous Keep Off" as per the photo in the submission. It is an unsafe structure. I would advise against further kayaking out there as the Coasguard do keep watch on the site and as per the…

Most carparks don't have specific marked paths - they're shared spaces where drivers and pedestrians have to be aware of each other. Your aerial photos show once you reach the sign you can stand out of the way of vehicles. Yes you need to apply commonsense when walking through a carpark, but retail store carparks don't…
-
There is no permitted pedestrian access - you cannot stand on the pier. You can't physically reach the actual spot which is required by the rules. Yes the council are looking to rebuild it - they've been talking about it for fourty years, and no progress has been made and it has reached the point where it has been declared…
-
I'm not Niantic, but carparks are areas shared by pedestrians and vehicles - drivers will expect people to be walking through them. Obviously you need to watch where you're going but you could afely stand touching the post of that sign.
-
That's not how the rules work - having a category does not make something valid or invalid, and even if something is not specifically prohibited the object still has to meet the other criteria.
-
Can your supporting photo show both buildings?
-
What were the rejection reasons given? Maybe posting the whole submission and supporting statement might help give someone an idea.
-
It's straightforward - banks can be eligible but they still have to meet the criteria - they're not automatically a good wayspot. It's the same as most premises.
-
It looks to be a few metres away to me, but I'm not the person you need to convince.
-
Wayspots don't have to be accessible to everyone to be valid they just have to be accessible to some people. A wayspot on a company site where only those with permission can enter is still valid.
