It's a liability concern for Niantic. That's an apartment complex/housing development pool with no lifeguards, so it's not eligible. I'll tell you that I reviewed it and gave it 1*. I recognize the photo.

I've been using temporary a lot lately because someone nominated every piece of art in a three-month street show last summer. The art's long gone now, but other reviewers might not know that it was temporary. It's best to look things up rather than rely on the submission. For new restaurants... No, I wouldn't mark them as…

Thanks @NIanticGiffard

I'd go with the second pic because the sign is more clearly legible than in the first one.

I used to teach archery in the 90s to both adults and children (10+). We moved our range because too many people just wandered in and wanted to "stand on the sidelines" to watch. The sidelines, though, aren't a safe area, particularly with newbie archers, who don't have much control yet. The foot traffic was too…

At least long enough to invent the psychic floating plaque.
-
I dropped one in another thread yesterday.
-
😂😂😂 But are we also supposed to believe that that plaque is just floating above the grass?
-
It's not a statue if it's just a decommissioned phone booth. Your description needs to be about the specific item you're nominating, not the history of phone booths in general. This wouldn't get approved anyway because it's a mass produced item that doesn't meet any of the criteria. And it's on PRP, so it's also not…

Not without seeing the nomination. Please post screenshots, and we'll give you some advice.

There's no pole in the supplementary photo; it's just floating there. The "sunlight" looks like it's there to hide that fact. I'd say that was helpful info.
-
That was my point, that it's one way to verify that it's real. We get so many fake ones or ones on PRP, and here's a tool to provide some evidence for real ones and their actual location. I just said that I was leery, not that it was an outright rejection. About 80-90% of registered LFLs are on the map, though, because…
-
That's pretty bad. Almost as bad as this...
-
The library in the pic, though, has the official LFL sign, which indicates that it's registered. A search of the area on that map should show where it's supposed to be. FYI, theft of LFLs not securely affixed has been an issue lately.
-
Little Free Library official map: I'm leery about LFLs that aren't registered because the process is cheap and easy. The one in the pic above has the old (wooden) official LFL sign on it, which has a unique library number on it that you can check on the map. The newer signs are metal. Unfortunately, I can't see/read the…

The flag says tourist info on it, so go ahead and call it a tourist info office. Focus on its function instead of on the fact that it's in a hotel.

As far as I understand, Starbucks has a sponsorship deal with Niantic, so Starbucks picks which locations can be wayspots. They don't normally fit the criteria because Starbucks is a chain store. Some people ignore the criteria, though, and approve them anyway. Chain restaurants are 1* unless the submitter makes a good…

The tree is a natural feature and probably won't get approved, so you should nominate the garden as a whole and pitch it as a gathering place (community building criterion) for the people who live in the apartment building. Does the building have a name? If so, include that... Garden for residents of Named Apartment…

I'd say that it's misleading because that's not the name of the trail. If these signs are meant to be temporary, you can probably find evidence for that on the parks department website. I don't think that it can be rejected for personally identifiable information, though, because it is a publicly posted sign. I think the…

I wonder if the reviewers are just looking at the pics without reading the description. A tourist info office definitely encourages exploration. Here's a similar one I had approved just last month.
-
It's seating at a common chain restaurant that's clearly marked on the map. Unless you can provide evidence that they use this space for community events or something other than eating at DQ, you're going to have a hard time getting this accepted. Are there any parks or public gathering areas along that creek that aren't…
-
I agree. It does look like a sporting goods store in the photos, and the wayspot is in a shopping mall right next to a Dick's. I've seen people try to pass off stores as art museums and community centers, so some reviewers might look at the pics and the map and then question the description. Provide photos that show what…
-
It's probably because the cover looks like canvas, so some reviewers might think it's some sort of tent. How do people use this space? Be specific in your nomination about how it meets the community criterion.
-
It annoys me, but I assume that it can be fixed later. What gets me are the one-word titles or descriptions, like "statue" or "park" with no name or information at all.
-
Nein, Englisch ist nicht notwendig. Sie müssen den Kritiker überzeugen das die Maibaum ist nicht saisonale. Haben Sie ein Foto im Winter gemacht?

They don't even have to be memorials. Some of them are for retirements, weddings, birthdays, graduations, family reunions. It's just a way for the city to raise money to pay for park maintenance. 13,000 x $300 = $3.9 million That's a lot of lawnmowers. 😂
-
Thanks. I just seen to be getting so many of them, and several that I've given 1* have been approved as wayspots.
-
Try retaking the first photo at a slight angle to reduce the reflection.
