Why does the plaque not work as a name sign for the park? I don't understand why you think it needs more than it already has? It's more interesting than the park name sign, and although the normal park sign is probably an easier thing to get accepted, it's nice sometimes to highlight something different if possible. I…

That's really sad to hear... I don't really understand why a group would do that either... I hope that stops, because its not right at all!

Yeah I'd probably call it 'Four Seasons Adventure Trail', and move hiking to the top of the list of things to do on it.

Thinking more..... Maybe call it 'Neon Art' or something else that's really dull but explains exactly what it is. You can edit later to be the correct title - maybe put the title in the description for now. I called mine 'Mosaic Art' and 'Corner Store Mural' just to say exactly what the picture was, to show its artwork…

Recognizable face is ridiculous.... Its a piece of artwork, there's no person in the picture other than the one in the art! I've had 2 pieces of artwork related to businesses approved, one is a graffiti mural of food and drink at a corner shop (on the outside wall) and one was a mosaic pattern at a tile shop. Both are…

I would use the brown sign picture as the main one, as it clearly shows that walkers have right of way over motorised vehicles.

I think a shopping plaza/mall/shopping centre is definitely a great place to be social, and can be eligible under the new criteria. They are a good place to meet friends, have coffee shops, bars and restaurants, and usually some interesting architecture or art pieces inside too, which can be eligible in their own right of…

Boat shed with a fishing club sounds like a pretty nice nomination that seems to fit with the aim of highlighting cool activities and being active outside. I think that is a much easier thing to nominate.

Anything that looks like a house needs a really strong title, description and supporting information to have even a chance to get accepted, usually they will be rejected multiple times for private property even if they clearly aren't. I don't think this will be accepted unless your nomination can really prove that it's not…

These plug ins are definitely prohibited, when you look at installing it, it tells you on the first page thst it breaks ToS! Therefore I never installed it. Also that is interesting that on a computer you can see the original location - indeed on a phone which is the only way I can review (I don't own a computer), I can't…

From what I've seen, the only way to check cells within wayfarer actually breaks ToS, so I'm not going to do that just to decline moves that also aren't in line with how we should be using wayfarer. I'd prefer just to judge as well as I can based on the official tools provided. Couldn't the 2 locations also just be cases…

When they are close together (often on top of each other), or both correct, are you saying I should still choose "can't find appropriate location"? I just assumed either were fine. My assumption is that the item must exist at the location because it was approved already, therefore edits are usually just a fine tuning of…

If our wayfarer rating is affected by choosing the wrong edit then I'm going to be skipping those reviews! I didn't know this and I don't know how to guard against it since you can't see cell information in wayfarer anyway! My main experience of location edits is a very blurry green field/sea of trees with 2 markers to…

I've recently been through a phase where every time I review more than about 10 in one go I get a cool down, now it all makes sense. I've always been a fast reader, and often submissions have hardly anything to read or check - sometimes they are the only thing on the duplicate screen for example because the area is so…

Personally I love the idea of footbridges in a park or nature area being wayspots in terms of exercise, because they are brilliant for doing a fitness session - they are a goal to run to especially for newer runners or people doing walk/run sessions, or they are a marker to do a set of exercises when you get there etc. If…

Well so much for temporary desync, I'm now at 5, one more than when the issue started, down from 1496 before.... So my numbers did update but I'm still 1491 down! I can't face doing all those reviews again to be honest. I wanted the new platinum medal level, but now I just have a grey medal, not even bronze. Whenever I…

Am I wrong in thinking that footbridges are part of making an area a great place to exercise and explore? The route would be less interesting and probably a lot shorter if it didn't cross the water! I think the new criteria actually strengthens the case for footbridges, not weakens it.

My agreements are still there in Wayfarer. I don't really use Ingress because I don't like the flickering screen. It is probably just a Pokemon Go issue, but that is my game so it matters to me! My friend lost over 7000 agreements off his medal too this week so this isn't just me. As for it getting fixed... Niantic do not…

Exactly! Cheats will find a way to cheat, you can't stop them every time unless you also block most legitimate submissions "just in case they are possibly fake". I would love to see some data from Niantic on the number / % of fake waypoints vs current waypoints. I bet the number of actual fakes is tiny compared to the bulk…

That's such a non answer! Why would 1492 agreements just vanish off a medal and then come back again a few days later? I'm not sure I trust that it will appear again. I will report it to support because whatever the post above says, this isn't supposed to happen and is not OK! I was looking forward to a new platinum badge…

My wayfarer medal went from almost platinum when the new level of badge appeared, down to only 4 agreements today. This isn't a result of poor reviewing, or desync of a few reviews! In fact, thinking about it, I only needed 4 more agreements for platinum when thst level came out. So maybe I got 8 new agreements but I'm…

What I mean is that by changing the guidance on cases where you can't tell if it's there but it seems reasonable to think it is there from vote 3* to vote to reject means that in areas with fakes, you'll get less fakes, but for everyone else who doesn't get fakes it'll make it hard/impossible to get anything that isn't on…
-
I have not once seen a fake submission in my area. It is not a major problem for everyone, so this is overkill. I have experienced a lot of incorrect rejections for location though! So making things harder to get approved is not helping all areas, only those with cheats submitting!
-
It is very common, but it is still very much against the terms of service!
-
Yes, an actual King Edward would probably be accepted, but this one is Queen Elizabeth, which would be rejected anyway, but doubly so for being mislabelled.
-
That seems sensible - as per Casey's example, when it's the only Starbucks it can be a great meeting place, but if there are several of the same chain, it's unlikely to be very special compared to others. I think overall this is common sense based on what else is in the area - we can consider what we would feel if this was…
-
I got a cool down yesterday too, despite filling in 'what is it' and trying to be as accurate as I can... My rating also changed to good from great/green despite doing very few reviews recently, because every time I try to do more than a handful I get a cool down! I guess I read too fast for the system to think I'm taking…
-
I rejected 2 in a row last night and immediately got a cool down! I don't know why I get them the last couple of months but never did before. I don't think I changed how I review... If anything I take more time now to fill in 'what is it'. I do think submitters should take a test too - it would really help them make the…

Yep, my casual friends don't know wayfarer exists. They didn't know you can use it to edit your submissions after sending them! They have quit submitting before they ever even knew reviewing existed because their submissions either were rejected or, maybe even worse for morale, accepted but didn't appear in game anyway! So…
