Wayfarer Weekend Wrap-up for the last weekend of the month
-
If it's a different sign, you may have to resubmit it. If it's the same sign, you can try using the wayspot modification form. It's likely to be rejected at first, so you'll have to appeal it on this forum in the location edit appeals section with evidence of the move, such as geo-tagged photos and a photosphere of the new…

Also wanted to circle back to this comment again: If you are really a local expert, you should know whether that dog waste bin or that walmart is indeed a community hub. If you want local experts to judge these kinds of nominations, you'll actually have to let locals see their more hyper-local submissions. The "local area"…
-
Yeah, I could see a good number of people thinking the photosphere was required, and seeing endless comments here and on reddit complaining about it causing crashes, taking too long, etc.
-
If I had the choice between the two, I would personally keep uploading them to google. I can often use one photosphere to show off mutiple things in an area like a park, and wouldn't have to re-take the photosphere if something was rejected the first time around. Plus, reviewers are going to use google maps/satellite to…

If the abuse reports go back to being anonymous, proving feedback to the reporters would help a lot. A big reason people started reporting abuse on the forum was because the old/current(?) abuse form was a google form that people could only report one portal at a time, and nothing would ever come of it. Reporting on the…

BTW, how does everyone feel about submitting photosphere's via Wayfarer as part of your nomination? I would be worried that it might crash the app a lot due to the large file size of photospheres. A lot of people's apps (notable PoGO) would crash often trying to take photos. The upload timeout might also have to be…

If you are really a local expert, you should know whether that dog waste bin or that walmart is indeed a community hub. I've lived in communities where the walmart was the local community center (well the McD's in it). Other cultures may have similar cases, where some generic store or shop is actually the community…

The distance limit for everyone but me should be very small, while my limit should be none. This is fair because of my own internal logical process which I will not explain but trust me on it. /s But TBH a lot of people dedicated to abuse are going to do things like spoof, fake photos, fake photospheres, collude with other…

@PkmnTrainerJ-ING - Yes, Brian (Ingress Producer) and I are talking about it for Ingress :) I'll look into whether Ingress wants to bring a few other things into parity with PGO (and in the future with other games) in terms of submission distance limits etc. cc @HankWolfman-PGO, per your comment. I hope this doesn't mean…

It's kind of strange that the event for Brazilians was announced in English and not Portuguese.
-
A question many wayfinders would like a hard answer to is: Will Home/Bonus locations be reset before or after the challenge so players would be able to participate if they are not already reviewing in the area? Just so there it a cut and dry answer for anyone who may be confused because of previous events.
-
I've read the post, and can confirm for you that there are no upgrades listed as rewards. I hope that helps clear some things up for you.
-
Oh whoops, missed that part. I need to get me a key of that.
-
I like the rewards, though I miss the upgrades. But without a clear comment about whether or not our home/bonus location can be reset afterwards, I'd rather not risk making the change. I'm fine that there's no tiered rewards now that upgrades are off the table, but I very much do miss the upgrade rewards.
-
If nothing else, you can always try to resubmit it.
-
@gazzas89-PGO @aleprj-PGO @SlicedPeas-ING I'd appreciate it if you could possibly take the Ingress strategy talk to a separate, more on-topic thread.
-
@NianticTintino @NianticDanbocat Since this nomination is gaining so much traction that news sites are encouraging people to submit ineligible nominations and say it will help change Niantic's minds about the criteria, is there some form of official announcement you can make about this somewhere? Somewhere more…
-
Sure, it could be relevant here, but the Ingress team isn't on here. They're on the Ingress Forum. So if you want feedback for the Ingress app to be seen by the Ingress team, Ingress forum is your better bet. Not sure why this is such an issue for you? This ain't even your post my guy.
-
Because wayspot nomination features are related to Wayfarer.
-
I'm glad you find them helpful! One more idea I had was having some kind of daily log-in rewards (like many Niantic games have) during events to encourage people to join early and participate often. Daily log-in rewards might also be a good idea to help keep people engaged with Wayfarer outside of events as well.
-
That's unfortunatly a consequence of the less than clear wording above the supporting info box and lack of required wayspot nomination training/education.
-
I guess also a question: Will trainers get a new Pokestop Nomination 14 days after they select "upload later" or 14 days after they upload it?
-
Ingress has Gallary Upload, which is arguably better. Though it would be nice to see this in Ingress as well. Also, I like how the Supporting Text box says "A great description goes here" lol.
-
I just noticed now that @Gendgi-PGO and @AisforAndis-ING are different usernames. Easy mistake to make IMO!
-
How are you logging into your Pokemon Go account? If it's Google/Gmail, make sure to check your social/promotion/spam folders. If it's Facebook/Apple or the PTC login, find out the primary email associated with those accounts, and check that email and it's spam folder or other inboxes it may have.
-
Ingress does technically have Wayfarer Live (Formerly OPR Live) as an event that even has a medal! Would love to see the return of live wayfarer events to Ingress and introduce them at Pokemon GO events.
-
Yeah, even when the Home and Bonus locations are set, you'll see stuff outside of those areas but in your geopolitical area, and sometimes areas along borders as Gendgi said.
-
If there's there's streetview, you can move the yellow person over the map and see where it can be placed. Otherwise, yeah, you can just click "unable to determine"
-
If it ends up being November, you may want to throw a "2021" on the end of it to help differentiate it from the current pinned AMA thread.
