Sometimes they are on k-12 school grounds. Or other times they are difficult to confirm location when the nomination isn't well done. There are some, too, that are temporary.

Not really, but it depends on the context. Most memorial benches I see are in public parks or walking trails where people are already encouraged to congregate. "Memorial bench" is also a bit of a misnomer. They aren't really memorials where mourning family & friends would visit. They're usually "sponsorship plaques" that…

It's in the front yard of a church. While pedestrian access is poorly shown in the nomination photos, context makes me feel like it's implied. That isn't a road sign meant to be driven past. Pedestrian access does not require sidewalks, grass is not lava. Sure, it's on the side of a road but nearby speed limit sign is…

To be fair, I wouldn't mind Niantic emailing everyone who rejected for text with a statement that "@" is not ineligible text, because it isn't. (But that's the first thing I would do to improve a rejected nomination, myself.)

The Wayfarer team is working on an educational campaign (an old tune, I know but I have seen them! This is coming!) Sigh.

Let it go. The OP presented their nomination, provided the additional context to prove legitimacy of the photo, and the appeal was overturned. Yes, AisforAndis used charged language that may have been unnecessary, but getting a message saying, with the only context, "we can confirm that the image is taken from a…

.... No it isn't?

Personally I really like the idea, but with a few caveats. Sorry for the long winded response coming... You mentioned specifically that there were 20+ kids/people there, presumably after a sports game, and how that doesn't happen by chance. While I can't speak for your area or for that group, some of the key factors…

I like your top primary photo better than the bottom. But I think cropping this way would be better: If you can, retake the picture on a clear day. It shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does. Also, I wouldn't call that a boardwalk, at least not based on the photos I've seen. I would probably call it a Pier, Overlook,…

I'm having a little trouble with accuracy on mobile, but it looks like the new point is 15 meters from the closest edge of the tower. (Tehstone previously noted it had moved 39m from the original pin - in the center of the tower)

I pulled up Google Earth using the coordinates from the Intel map that shows the misplacement with some added perspective.

I don't remember if I reviewed this nomination or not, but it's within the area that I review (Central Iowa). I like these jetties in theory and I've seen a few pass in the Midwest - one very similar in Nebraska, actually, by a friend of mine. I've also seen reports of similar constructs approved and denied by Niantic…

Thanks so much! Do you know if the ability to withdraw in-voting nominations can be shipped with this change? It was strange that this ability was intentionally removed and then later said it was difficult to add - when it never should have been removed to begin with.
-
This may not be the timeline we had hoped for, but I think we can be thankful it'll be revisited. I, for one, am enjoying reviewing full steam as I had said I would if we could ever bank upgrades.
-
It isn't tied to browser, that won't help. @OneFromTheSky-PGO drafts are saved automatically. For some reason, when an image is posted and you revisit the thread before the image approved it continues to populate. You can find and delete these drafts here: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/drafts

Hey folks! The Ambassador group was able to bring this up with Tintino and explained what's been brought up here and in other communities we represent as the voices of the community as well as our own experiences. It will be looked at by the dev team, but this is a process that may take a while. I'm not speaking for…

Providing a link to a city/county/etc website or even peer generated that maps trails and helps prove authenticity would probably be better. I have a few nominations for trail markers where the sign is hidden by tree coverage where I have referenced something like "Google maps shows the trail as going through this…

@NianticTintino continuing the experiment I attempted to upgrade a nomination in queue and it assigned just fine (albeit one I didn't intend to upgrade). This is a VERY bad move if intentional.
-
...you can apply it to any nomination prior to it going into voting. Was this wording intentional? I'm receiving an error when I try applying an Upgrade to a nomination already in voting. And, yes, I have an upgrade available.

Where?
-
What is a name if not a designator? Do these not share the same function?
-
You can't find the guidance any more because Niantic removed it from the websites and don't want you to review to that standard, anymore.
-
A number sounds like a name.
