  • Anyways, @PeteC303-ING, I would suggest pushing the matter more on the Ingress Forum and also contributing to the thread below about how having a consistent photo sync through all games is part of what incentives you.
  • I hear conflicting reports about whether or not syncs are broken. I had a photo contribution accepted yesterday that immediately appeared in PoGO (there's a weird trick where the instant your photo is approved you can view it in PoGO) but 2 syncs later it isn't in Ingress. That's "fine" for me - it was a 1:1 aspect ratio…
  • The only post boxes I see nearby are King George V. I'm very unfamiliar with the context of these post boxes with respect to British history, but generally speaking ERII are not considered "historical" and are "mass produced" as they are currently in production. Other Royal ciphers may be eligible if you find them. On a…

  • Just out of curiosity, is this the only reason you reject them? Not disagreeing with you for rejecting them, but highlighting the disparity what Explorers are aware of. I would hardly expect any new submitter or reviewer to even think of referencing an Ingress AMA, and even if they did the first thing they should be told…
  • Noted! But I'm not sure "local" is any better than "popular." Both end up falling flat as buzzwords. Rejected places that you know are eligible getting rejected sucks, there's no way to sugar coat that. Until more guidance can be established, the only option is to continue trying to improve, be active in your community and…
  • Can't give much feedback at this time, but we are actively reviewing discussions in those threads and having the conversation in other communities, as well. I posted a little but am trying to let the community guide the conversations rather than project my own direction.
  • I think I would rather a different option when reviewing, and that's Both locations equally represent the POI Because, if they're moving the pin away, there should be no debate or confusion - just pick the appropriate location and move on. If it is one I'm familiar with and know with certainty that it's a bad move, I'll…
  • Re: the above 3 comments I see weekly comments like "I submitted this now that businesses are allowed," "now that restaurants are allowed..." etc. They never weren't allowed. Even when criteria shifts or changes, there will be confusion carried across guidelines, especially in subjective cases, and it won't be clear if it…
  • 1. If the mural was still there, it should have been eligible. It gets tricky when people mix the business and the art, though, such as making the art the focal point but describing only the business. 2. It could be. A tire swing from a tree is pretty simple and may get rejected for that, but if it's an area clearly…
  • I've almost never had a nomination not go into voting immediately after having an upgrade apply - assuming the nomination was AT MINIMUM 24 hours old. I can think of a few exceptions, but very uncommon and still typically upgraded within the day of being assigned. Most upgrades reach decision for me within a day or two of…
  • I don't know about "known issue" per se, but several other folks have reported issues with not receiving an email from Redacted approvals. On a side note, did your Seer Badge change?
  • I don't recall seeing any clarification as to how the internal reviewing works other than this post: Our internal review staff go through an intensive training on the Wayfarer criteria and we do recalibration sessions as needed. They have a different internal tool to review nominations, edits, and abuse reports. We do…
  • Niantic reviewers are not infallible, in fact, they are quite fallible. They may have not seen the evidence you provided, or even chosen to reject your nomination for another reason. At this time, there is no way to appeal an appeal that was rejected by Niantic. What reason did they provide you on the website?
  • I can't answer from the backend, but anecdotally many of my friends have reported the triggers being relaxed, as well.
  • Part of the reasoning is to encourage new participants, keep existing reviewers, and find ways to bring back those who thought they were done with their area.
