Thanks for taking the time to write up your observations! Great post!

Make sure the supporting photo includes part of the trial with sign still included. A broad picture for supporting. I've used reject for low quality photo when I think it is a good nomination but can't confirm the it matches what is being told. IE, need to see proof of the trial.

Personally I would take a nice picture of the pretzel and name. Crop it to only show that part and not the awning. Then use the cropped image in the nomination.

>>" why not help out with an Eagle Scout project" 95% of the Eagle Scout projects I've seen are not eligible. YMMV. There was another thread I saw this week of a cement pedestal with pokeball on it. Painted very nice and permanently placed in cement pad in public area of a community.. The person was upset it kept getting…

It takes some effort, search the web for how-to. Use IITC and PoGo Tools. Pictured example is a cell with 3 waypoints in it. Only one is allowed in PoGo per cell. The IITC will help you see what is in the database and may help explain why it didn't get created.

4* a nomination if it is off a bit. 3* if it pushes the edge of 10m or under a tree. If I move a pin, I set the score back to 3* after it flips to 5* automatically. Moving is subjective for me. Leeway for game play isn't allowed but very often happens. I now reject for mismatched locations when over 10m-20m+. I hate these,…

The only way to move a nomination faster is to use an Upgrade. The lenght of time for the other nominations could vary a lot without one.

Good point on the public ability to edit OSM. My take away from above comments is that something in an area of private residences doesn't get an instance rejection if it is not physically on the private property. IMO it opens up liability because we could be putting a critical game feature 10m from a front door because of…

I love how the suggested good pictures include a BENCH. This is additional to double the nominations

I suspect that PGO app crashing 100% time during picture taking on a lot of devices was the major reason to enable the open existing pictures. I no longer need to carry an old phone for nominations. The change does make it easier to sit at home and submit within the distance limits, that will be the cost of this low-tech…

This being 'generous in rural areas' is BS. Criteria are criteria, so many people come to complain about rejections and look for help but if reviewers have their own rules they follow, then the system is broken. Existing waypoint density should have zero factor on reviewing a new nomination. Will we have future guidance…

I use IITC and Google maps to locate churches, gyms (karate/etc) that don't have a POI yet. I use PGO to submit but carry an older phone that works when taking the photo. Or use a phone that still allows camera app to open a picture I took already. Can't submit anything on my new phone. I do put some detail in description…
