This is the only thing similar in my area. In my mind, they are mid level quality wayspots. They could be accepted or rejected based on locality.

You should read the new AMA response. It has an item regarding bridges.

Thank you for the answers. Just some random observations/thoughts It really feels like the wayfarer team has some momentum for making the improvements that will be vital for the platform to thrive in the future. I hope that eventually a Wayfarer app will guide nominators to making great nominations and will giver reviewers…

I have had a fair amount of success in this effort. Some are better than others, but they all made it through (though I have had several others that didn't make the cut).

I don't think this is a clearly good nomination. Is a bunker historic or just old? How common are derelict bunkers that are now good bat homes? There is definitely nothing aesthetically pleasing about the nomination. I am not saying it is not eligible, it just isn't clear that it is a good candidate.

This was the problem I ran into. I went ahead and reported the wayspots I need to get moved as being on private residential property because I knew that the wayspots (which are located at the shopping area) would not be removed, but rather the request would be denied and I could appeal them on this forum. The request…

It seems the reviewers have done their jobs correctly based on the information provided.

If it has a parking lot, that may make it easier for a reviewer to accept that it is not single family residential. The bigger question is, what criteria does a former rectory meet? If it isn't historical (beyond "the priest used to live here") or doesn't unique architecture, I do not think it would be eligible.
-
It could go either way, it should not be rejected because of location, but reviewers may need some convincing that it is not on school property since many will not be from your immediate vicinity.
-
Personally, I think radio station offices as a wayspot are low-mid level eligible, but I would really argue that community radio stations are just as important or even more important than a national radio station.
-
That ID can be used to help Niantic support identify your nomination if you submit an appeal.

My understanding of current guidance would lead me to vote 1-2 stars on all of those. If I were in charge of criteria, I would like to change this guidance to make things like these eligible, but until the powers that be change the criteria, I will continue to judge these as ineligible to low acceptance.

A party room could be low level acceptance for me as a gathering point. A higher level acceptance would be a mural in the party room.
-
I would accept it, but I understand the desire to have a specifically named trail instead of a generically named health walk.

I was frustrated by some nominations I made a football stadium near me. They were retired numbers of significant players that are on permanent display. They were deemed temporary because the stadium is used primarily during fall and winter months. While there are a few evens during the rest of the year, the facility is…

The same should apply to those that are underfoot. I have seen some murals painted on the supports under bridges. At that level, you have to approach them by boat, but a pedestrian sidewalk passes above the mural. https://www.floridafinns.com/en/who-is-the-girl-on-a-mural-under-the-lake-worth-bridge/

@tehstone-ING I think I understand your argument and I have done my best to outline why I think the issue is hydrant itself and not the area surrounding it but I guess what has been shared isn't compelling enough for us to agree on this issue. I think we are usually on the same side of most of the guidance on here and I…
-
Heck no, they are not eligible because as you noted in your post, they are generic!
-
No matter how beautiful a hydrant is, it is never a point of congregation. The only exception I can think of is when people illegally open the hydrant to play in the water. Unless a hydrant has been decommissioned (which a reviewer will never know for sure), it can potentially directly be used by emergency personnel for…

No, apartments and condos are not considered the same as single family private residences. A community gazebo in an apartment complex would be eligible.
-
It appears to be a good candidate. Have you checked the Ingress Intel map to see if it is already in Ingress or if it is too close to another portal in Ingress?
-
I understand you argument, but I agree with @Daemare-PGO. The difference between the hydrant and anything else along the street near the hydrant is that the hydrant is the actual object firefighters interact with to do their job in an emergency situation. I recognize that the situation is massively unlikely, but I do not…

You are correct that a church playground being used as part of a daycare/elementary school program is not eligible. However, the fact that a playground is fenced off is not reason enough to determine that a playground is ineligible.

If you have reviewed the help section on Wayfarer, you do know that you are doing it right. You have to review the location based on how close it is to the real-world location. You should move the pin if it is off. If you do not move the pin, you need to mark down the location accuracy below 5-stars.

If I could disagree with the disagree-er, I would.
